You Must Dream to Learn

It was a barren wasteland, but filled with stars. There was a starry creature, snarling at Riley in her hospital gown. The it charged up and sprinted at her. Riley screamed and started to run. She ran, and ran. It started catching up to her. She went to full sprint. She stumbled over a rumpled piece of metal and fell. CRUNCH. CRUNCH. CRUNCH. Then beast snarled at her, drooling on her head. Then it roared. One final time, and leaned in.

Riley woke up. She was screaming. "OH GOD!!! ARE YOU OKAY?!" the doctor shout-asked. Riley stopped screaming and nodded. After she calmed down she asked, "Can I have some spaghetti please?" The doctor nodded. Before she walked out the door, she said it would take a little bit of time. She walked out of the room.

Dark Moon came from the dark hallway. "My offer stills stands to help me out," Dark Moon said. Riley shook her head. Dark Moon retreated back to the hallway. Riley fell asleep and had the same dream. She woke up but didn't scream.

Her doctor came in with her spaghetti, gave it to her, and turned on the T.V. The news was on. The man said, "Trouble has risen at the Saturn Mercury Hospital. A strange star cluster-looking creature as killed one person." Then Riley came on the news for and interview. "It came out of nowhere and ripped my doctor apart. Literally. Then it jumped at me and stopped in midair," she had said.

The man then said, "The following people have died: Wilma Harrison, Erin and Alvin Arlington, Tim Forrest, and quite a few patients. Some people have died from the recent oil spill. The Saturn Mercury Hospital might not take any more patients, due to the incedents." Riley asked the doctor if she could change the channel. She immediately got up and changed it. She looked spooked, too.

Later, Dark Moon came back. "Ready now?" she asked. "Fine," Riley said. "BUT, we have to wait until tomorrow for me to learn how to use my powers." Dark Moon nodded and went back to the dark hallway.
