Chapter Seven {Jack}

"Alright I'm giving you ten minutes to run in there and find him before I come in after you." Alex told me as we stood at the castle doors. "Make it snappy lets go!"

And like that I was off. Running into the building, trying not to make to much noise. When I reached the prisoners quarters I began go look for the brown haired boy I adored.

"Jack?" A voice a little was up asked. It was Vic.

"Vic!" I cheered when I saw him sitting on the floor in the dirty outfit that all the men surround him were also wearing. It made my stomach turn to see the bruises and cuts on his face and arms.

"Are you here to save me?" his face lights up.

"No, I'm friends with prince Gaskarth, he let me see you one last time." My voice became quiet.

"Oh, um well the execution isnt tomorrow anymore! It's in two months, so maybe you can come and visit me some more." his voice was slightly flirty. And usually I would be all for it but something was stopping me.

"I guess but Prince Gaskarth will be here soon so we need to finish up."

"I love you Jack." He blushed making me do the same.

"I love you more Vic. Goodbye." I turned to walk away and there standing within two feet of me is Alex. His face looks a bit sad but I can't figure out why, maybe he regrets going behind his fathers back.

"You ready Jack?" he asked.

"Um yea, I'll see you later Vic!' I called happily as I walked with Alex.

"Um what did you mean by later I thought he was...well you know?" Alex asked once we were far away from the jail.

"Oh well they moved the date to two months so I thought we could do this little sneaky sneaky thing for a tiny bit longer."

Alex looked forward like he was having a battle with his inner self. "well yea I don't see why you couldn't. I just want you to be happy."

"What?" I asked almost chocking on my word.

"I mean you do love him so I want you to see him as much as possible."

Does Alex have a crush on me?

Is that why he looked so sad before?

"I should go now!" He nervously laughed once we were outside.

"Well see you later." And like that he was hurring back inside the castle. 

Weird.
