POV TEAGAN

Melanie, Lola, and I went out to lunch at a little cafe in town. They were home for the long weekend, memorial weekend. The waitress sat us down and handed us menus. We chatted quietly.

"So how do you feel? End of your junior year!" Melanie asked. I smiled and shrugged.

"Fine I guess. I don't know. I'm just excited for summer!" I said. We all chuckled a little bit.

The waitress then came up to us again for our orders. We quickly ordered and she collected our menus.

"I'm so glad I can come and spend my summer here!" Melanie exclaimed with a big smile. "Spend it with my baby sister and brother." She said. I just smiled back.

"Me too. We can go boating, and shopping, and go downtown and take cute pictures all the time!" I said. She just giggled.

"Well I should be able to come down quite often this summer as well." Lola said with a small smile. I did a little dance in my chair.

After lunch we got up to leave. I spotted this really cute boy. He had fluffy brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. We made eye contact and he winked at me! As we walked out I accidentally dropped my phone next to him. He picked it up and handed it to me.

"You dropped something." He said with a smirk. I giggled.

"Yeah your dignity." Melanie said as she passed me. I scoffed and hit her.

"Thanks." I said to him before running to the car.

As we pulled into the driveway we noticed someone was moving in next door to us. We were a bit curious, but just went inside. Mom and Dad were just sitting on the back deck overlooking the lake.

"Hello ladies." Mom called to us. We all greeted them. We made our way through the house and out to the deck.

"How was lunch?" Dad asked. I just shrugged.

"So good! Oh my goodness!" Melanie exclaimed. Mom and Dad just smiled. Dad looked back down to his news paper.

"Do you ladies have any other plans for the weekend?" Mom asked. I again just shrugged. I felt my phone buzz, it was Savannah.

SAV: what are you doing right now???

TEAGS: nothing you should come over now !!

"Is it okay if Savannah comes over?" I asked mom with a big smile. She nodded and smiled. I then went upstairs to my bedroom and flopped on my bed. I went on my phone while I waited for Savannah.

I waited for like 10 minutes when all of a sudden Savannah burst into my room and jumped on my bed. We both just giggled.

"Oh my gosh Savvy! I saw the cutest boy today at lunch. Like the cutest!" I squealed. She gasped and leaned forward.

"Well did you get his snap or anything?" She asked getting all giddy, because I never like any boys. I just shook my head no. "That's okay. I bet you will see him again!" She said with a big smile.

"Yeah right." I said while rolling my eyes. Seeing one boy, who I've never seen before in my whole life, again? There was then a knock at my door. I quickly sat up.

"Hey mom wants us to all go introduce ourselves to our new neighbors." Lola said. Savannah and I both got up and followed Lola downstairs.

Mom, Dad, Lola, Melanie, Oliver, Savannah, and I all walked across the lawn to next door. There was a woman and younger girl standing in the drive way. They both looked up at us and smiled.

"Hello! I'm Chrissy and this is my husband James. We are your neighbors just right next door! These are my children. Lola and Melanie, Oliver, and Teagan. And Teagan's friend Savannah." Mom said.

"Hi. I'm Pat and this is my daughter Caroline. My husband Rolf and son Jacob are around here somewhere." She said with a chuckle.

All of a sudden walking out from the garage was the cute boy from lunch. I was stunned. I turned to Sav and gave her a look. I looked back at them and smiled. I made eye contact with him and he winked at me.

"Oh here they are! This is my son Jacob. And Rolf my husband." She said with a huge smile. I just took a deep breath. Melanie and Lola just waved, Oliver gave a head nod, and I just stood there awkwardly smiling.

"How old are you Jacob? Maybe Teagan and Savannah can show you around town sometime?" Mom suggested while looking back at us. Savannah stood there with a big goofy smile nodding her head.

"I'm 17. And that'd be great!" He said with a big smile. I just kept taking deep breaths. This couldn't actually be happening.

"Awesome! How about tomorrow at like lunch time?" Savannah said. Jacob shrugged.

"Works for me!" He said.

"Great." I said weakly.

The next day I woke up in bed next to Savannah. I sat on my phone for a while until she woke up. I sat there trying to find Jacob on Instagram and stuff, but couldn't seem to find him. Savannah then woke up.

"What time is it?" She groaned.

"10:47." I replied. She sat right up.

"We have to start getting ready! We have to go see Jacob soon. And I was going to invite some of our guy friends over for it." Savannah said while getting out of bed and heading straight to my closet.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom and showered. I figured she would be in there for a while.

I wore a pair of light wash denim high waisted shorts. A cropped yellow babydoll shirt. And a pair of cream strappy sandals.

Savannah wore a cream colored t-shirt with the levi's logo in pink and blue. A pair of light washed high waisted jean shorts. And a pair of grey air force 1's.

We then walked over to Jacob's house. He was sitting outside on a wooden bench. He looked up from his phone and smiled at us.

"Hi guys." He said standing up.

"Hi. So if we wanna wait a few seconds we have some of our guy friends coming with us. But we can come over to Teags house so we can take her car." Savannah explained. He just nodded. I rolled my eyes a little.

As we started to walk over our friends all pulled up together. Luke, Blake, Conner, and Alex all walked over to us.

"Hi T! Hey Sav!" Luke yelled waving to us. I smiled and waved back.

"Okay Jacob! This is Luke, Blake, Conner, and Alex. And boys this is Jacob. He just moved in next door to Teagan." Savannah explained.

"Awesome. It's nice to meet you dude." Blake said. I took a deep breath and smiled. I was very relieved at how well this was going so far.
