Jennie's car pulled up outside Rosé's place at eleven thirty, and telling her driver to wait, she got out and walked into the building. Outside Rosé's apartment, Jennie knocked twice, listening to the muffled sounds of loud talking. A moment later Rosé pulled the door open and ushered her inside.
"Hi!" Lisa beamed at her, bouncing over to kiss Jennie on the cheek.
"Hello, is everyone nearly ready?" Jennie asked, looking between the three of them.
"Yeah, I just need to find my keys," Rosé said, rushing around the room as she tried to find them.
"On the TV stand," Lisa told her as she picked up her bag and set it down beside the door. Rosé snatched up her keys and walked down the hallway to fetch her bag.
"Are you sure you have everything you need?" Jennie asked. "Camera? Toothbrush? Socks?"
"Yes, yes and yes," Lisa smiled, coming up poking Jennie in the side, making her shy away from Lisa's ticklish touch. Jisoo walked back out of the hallway, her bag in tow. She set it down next to Lisa's and her eyes widened as she looked at Jennie, who had just brushed her hair back out of her face, exposing her pale neck and a purple mark that makeup couldn't quite hide.
"Oh shit, no way," Jisoo laughed, a gleeful look on her face as she reached out and gently prodded the hickey. Jennie quickly batted Jisoo's hand aside, rearranging her hair so it covered the mark again.
"Hey, Rosé! You never guess what," Jisoo called out, dissolving into a fit of laughter. "Your sweet little sister's been giving her girlfriend hickey's."
"Fuck off, KIM!" Jennie cursed, rolling her eyes at Jisoo. Lisa stood off to the side, blushing furiously as Rosé came down the hallway laughing as she carried her bag behind her.
"You kids have been busy," Rosé smirked, rounding on Lisa and raising her eyebrows at her.
"I wonder what your mom will say," Jisoo laughed, nudging Lisa gently in the ribs.
"I swear to God, if you tell her mom I will personally hire a hitman to take you out," Jennie promised.
"Um, are you threatening the life of a National City detective?" Jisoo gasped, her eyebrows raising as she looked at Jennie with an amused expression on her face.
"No, I'm threatening the life of my- what did you say we were? Friends? The life of my friend who would like a trip to Italy in my private jet," Jennie said smugly.
"She's got you there, babe," Rosé grinned, watching the exchange with amusement.
"Fine. You're a businesswoman through and through, Kim," Jisoo sighed, looking at Jennie with approval.
"I'm holding you to that trip to Italy though, even if I have to hijack your plane," Jisoo promised, pointing a finger at Jennie in warning.
"Alright, enough threats," Lisa said, rolling her eyes, "let's go before we miss our train."
Soon, all four of them were downstairs, sliding into the back of car as Jennie's driver stowed their bags in the trunk. Pulling out into traffic, they made their way to the train station, and Lisa could barely sit still out of excitement to be going to visit her mom.
-----
They were three hours into their train ride, and the four of them were crowded into four seats facing each other with a small table wedged in between. Jisoo had packed a deck of cards and they were playing poker to pass the time. Lisa threw down her hand, sighing as she folded again. Jennie's face was a mask of indifferences as she looked at Rosé and Jisoo's faces. Rosé's eyes narrowed slightly as she stared back intently.
