"Hi," Jennie smiled as she answered the phone.

"Hi!" Lisa replied enthusiastically. "You were already awake, right?"

"Yes, I have to go into the office early. I have a full day of meetings," Jennie groaned as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Damn, Rosé told me this morning that the circus is in town and wanted to know if we wanted to go with her and Jisoo tonight, but I guess that means you won't make it, right?' Lisa asked, her voice coming through slightly dejected.

"Of course not!" Jennie protested, "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

She could hear Lisa's smile in her reply. "Great! Say around six?"

"Sure. Would you like me to get my driver to pick everyone up, or are we meeting there?" Jennie asked.

"Um, sure, you can get your driver to pick us up if you want," Lisa agreed.

"Okay, sounds like a plan," Jennie smiled, looking forward to tonight.

"Okay, well I better go before I get pulled over for using my phone," Lisa replied.

"What! Lisa! Driving whilst using your phone is unsafe, not to mention illegal," Jennie scolded her.

"I know, but it was important this time, otherwise I wouldn't be able to ask you until tonight and then it'd be too late. I'm using hands free though," Lisa explained guiltily.

Jennie sighed, trying not to smile at Lisa's words. She wanted to be mad at her for driving whilst using her phone but knew that she wouldn't be able to.

"You better hope I don't tell Jisoo later," Jennie laughed, hearing Lisa's answering laugh. "Okay, you better go. Have a good day."

"You too," Lisa replied, "bye!"

The line went dead and Jennie smiled down at the blank screen. She downing the rest of her coffee, she put her empty cup in the sink and went to take a shower. Jennie now had some newfound motivation to get through all of her meetings for the day.

Jennie found that the rest of the morning and early afternoon dragged. She spent most of the time thinking about Lisa instead of paying attention to the endless droning on of the businessmen and the committees. Technically she didn't even have to come to half of them, but she was already walking on eggshells with her family's reputation and didn't want to give anyone ideas about replacing her as CEO.

As soon as her last meeting was over, Jennie quickly packed up all of the files and paperwork she'd accumulated through the day. It was almost five, and she wanted to go home and change before going to pick everyone up. She got Somin to fetch her coat and bag, and with a quick goodbye she got into the elevator and went down to the car she knew would be waiting for her outside.

At home, Jennie quickly got changed into something casual and touched up her makeup. Heading back downstairs, she got back into the car, telling her driver to take her to Rosé's apartment. She was ten minutes early as the car pulled up outside Rosé's building, and she instructed the driver to wait as she slid out and slammed the door behind her.

Knocking on the door, Jennie patiently waited for someone to answer it. She heard Lisa's muffled shout, indistinguishable through the wooden door. The door opened and Jennie was greeted with Lisa's wide smile and warm eyes.
