Chapter Eight

The party was quickly underway and by the time Edward and Kisses got there, the house was packed and filled with music.

"That was quick," she giggled at binigyan niya ng isang maliit na ngiti.

"I'm going to take a shower and change clothes before I start partying," aniya at binigyan siya ng ngiti.

"Want some company," tanong niya at ngumiti si Edward, ngunit pagkatapos ay nawala ang ngiti nito nang maalala ang sinabi ng kanyang ama.

"Actually you should probably just wait here". Dahan-dahang tumango si Kisses at tinulungan siyang umakyat nang hagdan ngunit pinigilan niya eto.

"I can do it myself Kisses," sabi niya and she watched him get up to his room a little confused by his behavior.

Marion and Baifern were dancing to the music, but his mind was drifting off into another world, Lately, his thoughts of Baifern and Billy were getting worse. He was even having nightmares of catching the two of them in bed together or her leaving him for her newfound lover. Baifern pulled his face back to her getting his attention.

"What's up with you lately? Its like your head is somewhere else, ano bang nangyayare sayo?" she asked frustrated but before he could answer he heard yelling at the door. Pumunta siya upang tingnan kung ano ang nangyayari. Sampung lalaki ang lumakad sa pintuan at napailing siya nang makita nya ang mga jacket nito na Phi Beta Kappa.

"Sorry guys you aren't welcomed here," sinabi niya na ipinakita sa kanila ang pintuan.

"Get the stick out your ass Maurer we just want to party," said one of the guys and Mario went to walk toward him but Baifern stopped him. Before Mario could say anything, Dj walked up.

"Mayroon bang problema dito," tanong niya at ang mga lalaki ay umiling-iling.

"Gusto naming mag-party," kanilang pinasigawan at pinakalma sila ni Dj.

"Alright, fine, but any problems and you are all out," binalaan niya. Naglalakad silang lahat at tumingin si Dj kay Mario.

"Wag mo na silang pansinin, just enjoy the party," iminungkahi niya at pagkatapos ay napunta upang hanapin si Kath. Bumuntong hininga si Mario at tiningnan si Baifern who had her arms crossed. Hinila niya ito sa kanya at binigyan siya ng ngiti.

"Let's dance," sabi niya at ngumiti si Baifern bago hinila siya patungo sa dance floor.

Bumaba si Edward at binati sya sa panalo kasama ang binigyan ng mga pep talk tungkol sa kanyang injury. Kumuha siya ng isang beer at tumungo sa likod nang fraternity house upang maupo magisa. He opened it only for Kisses to take it from him.

"That isn't going to make you feel better and you're underage Edward," she informed and he rolled his eyes.

"Alcohol takes away the pain, you should know that," he smirked and she sat down by him. She pulled his face toward her and looked in his eyes.

"Alam kong galit ka, pro wag mo naman sa akin ibunton ung galit mo," sabi niya at biglang tumayo si Edward.

"You know im upset, you don't know anything alright? I worked my ass off only to have one fucking play erase years of hard work" aniya at tumayo siya.

"It's a couple of months off Edward, andyan pa din yung spot mo sa team pagbalik mo" sigaw ni Kisses and he looked the other way.

"Whatever, hindi mo maiintindihan, ito ay isang pagkakamali," he said and she ran her hands through her hair.

"You're right, this party isn't helping so how about we go somewhere else" sabi niya at tumingin skanya si Edward.
