Y/n POV

I sighed as I looked at myself in the mirror. I was in my black sports bra and black skinny jeans. I took notice of how I had a little fat around my stomach area.

I kept staring at it. Lots of thoughts went through my head.

I'm fat.

The cheerleading squad will never let me join them.

I'm ugly.

A knock interrupted my thoughts, "Sweetie! Your food is getting cold."

"I'll be right there!" I answered back.

I traced the scars over my wrist before I put on a black long sleeve shirt. I made my way to the kitchen and sat down on the table.

"Y/n. Your father and I need to get to work. Are you sure you're fine with walking to school? We can drop you off right now." My mom told me as I ate.

I'll be incredibly early to school then. I don't want to be the first one there. Then again, I'll probably procrastinate and be late if I walk there.

I gulped down the last of my toast, "Just let me brush my teeth first and then we'll go."

"Okay but please hurry. We can't be late," My mom said.

I rushed into my bathroom and brushed my teeth. I made sure I had a lot of hair ties on the wrist where my scars were just in case my sleeve rolls up.

I put on my black hat and black mask before looking at myself in the mirror.

I looked like I was going to a funeral. I was wearing all black.

The one thing that stood out were my blue, piercing eyes.

"Y/n!" My mom hollered as she opened the front door.

I grabbed my backpack and ran outside.

.....

"Have a good day sweetie," my parents told me as I jumped out of the car.

I waved goodbye as they drove away.

I turned to look at the school.

"Roosevelt High"

At least it's an outside school.

I was wandering the school and saw the cheerleading squad practicing in the field.

I noticed some bleachers ten feet away from them and walked over to it.

I went to the highest level and sat down, watching them as they practiced.

They seemed to notice me as I did.

A tall girl with faded orange hair waved over at me and smiled.

I hate being social in the morning but waved back at her.

The same girl gestured to the whole squad and herself before making a thumbs up, cocking her head at me.

Ah she's wondering if I think they're doing good.

I gave her a thumbs up.

She smiled brightly before bowing her head and returning to her practice.

I continued to watch them, taking notes just in case I join.

I looked down at my watch before I realized I was going to be late for orientation. The cheerleaders must've already received their schedule ahead of time.

I rushed off the bleachers in a hurry and ran to the Cafeteria, where they gave out our schedules.
