Chapter 10 FYZM

•Skylar•

The wind blew in my curls, letting the fresh snowflakes make their way to my neck and scarf, shivers of coldness running through my warm body. At this point, I didn't know where I was, I didn't know what I was doing, and I didn't know why. All I knew was, I was walking. Walking away from the tour bus, the lad's, Zayn.. Walking away from my feelings. All I wanted was for them to vanish. Disappear. I didn't want these heartbreaking feeling's and memories. I wanted them to go away..

The distant smell of fresh and toasty warm hot chocolate, filled my senses. I heard small chitter chatter's of young girl's pointless conversation about fancying a lad, and how they think it was so terrible that he wasn't interested. I felt like scoffing out loud at their small hissy fits. They know nothing..

A small corner shop on the left, took my gaze, as my eyes trailed up to the rather fancy sign, 'Charlotte's Coffee Cafe' It read, the beautiful cursive purple lettering taking great hold of my blue orbs. The small trickles of wet snowflakes dropping down my back made me cold, craving for something warm to place my hands on. I hesitantly curved into the way of the small corner cafe, already smelling the sweet aroma of hot chocolate that soon would be dancing on my tongue.

Opening the door, the warm feeling smacked me in the face, hitching my breath at the sudden feeling. A group of petite teenage girls stood in the corner, giggling and tapping away on their phones. I glanced at an old lad, who sat lonesome in the corner of the cafe, reading his large pile of newspapers and sipping on what looked like tea. His hair was deep grey, with only little splotches of brown left, his small beard and moustache fading away from its original colour. His eyes dampened, filled with pain and hurt, and I suddenly felt bad for this lonely lad. I stepped closer to the counter, approaching the young girl at the till with large glasses and no makeup. I could already taste the feeling of the freshly baked cupcakes on my taste buds, and the refreshing hot chocolate.

"Hello, Ma'am. What can I get you today?" The young girl asked, her voice dull and uninterested. I smiled timidly at her, pulling out my bank card from my back pocket.

"Hello, Love. May I please have a medium hot chocolate, extra milk, and a red velvet cupcake, cream cheese icing." I ordered, as she rapidly tapped on the screen infront of her, keeping up with my short and simple order. Her green eyes seemed faded and pale, a small frown permentally placed on her lips. She looked up, amused at my accidental staring.

"That would be $5.34, Please." She tried to smile, her yellow teeth showing only little. I looked at her confusingly, before mentally slapping myself. The money here in America is rather different than the money in the UK. I passed her my scratchy bank card, politely. She grasped it quickly, scanning it through the small machine, before handing it back to me.

"You could wait over at a table, Ill bring it to you when it's finished." She said quickly, running away from the till. I shrugged my shoulders, pulling down my hat that covered most of my face, and holding it by a thread in my fingers.

"Oh my goodness, Is that Skylar Bennett?" I heard a girl loudly whisper, her small excited screech bursting my ears. I timidly glanced towards her, her brown eyes stuck to mine, and her mouth in a perfect shape of an 'O'. Her young friend was utterly shocked at my presence, both of them immediately pulling out something from their purses. I politely walked over to the girls, a small gentle grin plastered on my lips. They began jumping up and down, and I couldn't help but giggle at their sudden expressions.

"Ello, Girls. How are you?" I asked, smiling meekly. They seemed to stunned to make a small effort to move, but kept rummaging through their bags.

"Y-Your Skylar... Skylar Bennett.." The strawberry blonde haired girl stuttered, her dark grey eyes bursting into my skin. She watched me intently, searching for any signs that I wasn't Skylar, before gasping quietly. "I'm such a big fan, Can I please have an autograph?" She jumped, a large nervous grin perfecting her small thin lips. I chuckled, nodding. She pinched the bridge of her nose, small freckles covering the tips. Similar to mine. She pulled out a small napkin, and a large crayola marker, handing it towards me.
