11. Ash's new powers

"Turn around."

"Hey." Misty paused. "You don't need to tell me what to do, okay? I'm a pro. I will pose, and you will take pictures. Once I'm done, I will leave. So, you better take as many as you can. I don't have the whole day for this." She bent to the side, waving her hand at Ash who was seated behind. "I have someone to be with!" She giggled.

Ash chuckled nervously and waved back at her. Rudy, who was seated right next to Ash, kept shifting on his spot.

"Okay, miss Williams..."

Misty flipped her hair and started posing again. Flashes started to strike. Ash watched the gold necklace around her neck. It really suited her. She had fair skin, clear, flawless. It sat perfectly around her neck. The pendant fell slightly to her cleavage. Misty kept her freckles. She didn't hide them with makeup. She was pretty known for that. She was the most known redhead model. Ash watched as she moved subtlety, her curves like waves...

"Ash? Ash?"

"Huh?" Ash turned around. It was his mother. "You're totally focused, aren't you?"

"Uhm, uh..." Ash got up. He smiled nervously. "Is everything okay?"

"Just came to check on your lady." Delia looked impressed. "She's very beautiful."

Ash cleared his throat. He looked down.

"After she's done, please come with Misty to my office." She whispered and left the studio.

Knock knock

Ash opened the door after he knocked. He let Misty in first and got inside.

Delia got up. She and the other members of the company's board of directors. Most were around his parents' age, and all of them were good friends of his father.

"Hello Ash. Welcome board." A man laughed.

"Don't embarrass him, Bill." Delia chuckled. "Take a seat, Ash."

Ash and Misty took a seat beside each other.

"And we have here Misty Williams. We don't need further introductions." Delia looked around the board members. "She and Ash are together."

"Really?"

"That's great!"

"Congratulations."

"Thanks..." Ash bit his lips. He looked at Misty who seemed quite mingled in. She didn't look nervous at all - but, well, she was a model, and she did runways. Nervous wasn't in her glossary.

"Thank you so much." Misty replied politely. "I'm really honored to be here."

"And Misty, I'm sorry I didn't invite Rudy." Delia spoke to the redhead. "I think he and Ash may have a little rivalry going on." It made the board members laugh.

"That's not true." Ash looked down, scratching his cheek.

Misty giggled. "It's true! They don't like each other."

"Okay, let's get to business." Delia sat straight. "I have called the board for a few modifications concerning power partitions."

Ash paused for a moment.

Misty turned around. "Is everything okay?"

"She made me member of the board." Ash let a chuckle. He and Misty were walking down the hallway after leaving the reunion. "I can't believe it."

"Well, isn't that what you wanted?" Misty cocked her head.

"What I want is more but - that's something." Even Eleanor and Philip weren't members of the board. "She gave up some of her shares for me!"

"Look, I don't really understand how things work in big companies." Misty giggled.

"In other words, I'm starting to get back what's rightfully mine."

"I can only be happy for you." Misty shrugged. "Maybe being with me did something."

"I don't know if it's you or not, but..." Ash pulled closer to the redhead. "We've got to keep this up."

Misty said nothing.

"She let you in with me." He said. "It's not a random choice. It's going somewhere, trust me." He added in a lower voice, "I've never been to a reunion by the board."

Misty smirked. She pulled closer to Ash, putting her hands around his neck and slowly leaning forward.

As a few employees walked past them, Ash and Misty kissed in the most passionate way they could fake.

A few offices away, Delia and the other members of the board were still reunited.

"I'm going to see what he's going to do now." Delia said. "He, and that Misty Williams who is faking to be his girlfriend."

"They're going to break up." Ben shrugged.

"No, they're not." Jonathan said. "Ash is after the presidency. He won't stop until he gets Delia's spot."

"I'm not sure about you but I don't trust Misty Williams." Georgia sighed. She looked at Delia. "With all due respect to models and modeling..."

"She's quite known for being obsessing with 'shining'." Ben used air quotes. "She loves to show her ass to the world."

"Is she plastic?"

"No, that's the problem."

"She moved in with Ash and won't leave his side... Philip and Eleanor are very worried about this."

"Ash can easily get her a contract now, Delia. You shouldn't have..."

Delia sighed heavily.

"Let's see what he's going to do with his new powers."
