Then finally after two days I met her.
I grabbed her hands anxiously.
But an instant later I released my hands getting shocked.
Her hands were as cold as Ice.
"Looks very anxious to me....you were," she said with a smile.
"Yes" I replied. "But why don't you were woolen clothes?" I asked remembering her cold hands.
"I no more need them" Her voice was almost whisper.
I stared at her completely mystified.
"Dona, I want to say something important" I tried to arrange the words in my mind because the words I was going to say could be very simple for a American girl but Dona was a different type and could react really differently.
We were sitting in the park, shivering in the freezing cold.
I was a bit angry because we could've sat in a room in the warmth of a heater but she insisted on open air.
She sat happily with her eyes closed while I tried to read her cold face.
"Go on. What did you want to say?" Her eyes opened.
I replied, "Oh, nothing m..much."
"On come on, tell me what were you saying" she said .
I gathered courage and somehow told her, "W..Will Y..Y.You Marry Me?
To my shock, her eyes were smouldering.
