Iida spent the rest of the day thinking of who could have been the one to say such a rude word. he ruled out Bakugou, Uraraka, and Todoroki because Uraraka and Todoroki were sitting with them, Bakugou was also gay so he wouldn't say such things.
Deku didn't seem to hear it, either that or he didn't care. Iida envied his carefree spirit. Iida tried to focus on his studies and his boyfriend but every time he looked at Deku he heard the word "faggot" echo through his head. He hated everything about it, he hated feeling wrong, he hated himself.
School had just ended and Iida felt his hand being pulled by Izuku. He loved seeing Izuku so happy but he couldn't focus on him.
"Izu" Iida said. Izuku looked at Iida, confused by his worried tone.
"Yes?"
"I'm going to go talk to someone quickly, I'll text you when I'm done." Iida pulled Deku into a hug and departed from his boyfriend.
Nezu can help me, I've burdened Aizawa enough. Iida thought as he walked to the principal's office.
Iida knocked on the door, trying not to overwhelm himself. Nezu opened the door with a smile.
"Hello, Iida!" He beamed
"Principal Nezu I need your help" Iida stated "I was in the cafeteria with Izuku and I heard someone shout a slur" Nezu's smile faded and he stepped behind his desk
"Do you have any idea of who it could be?" He asked
"I don't know. But I do know who could be ruled out. Bakugou, Uraraka, Izuku, and Todoroki." Iida offered
"I'll see what I can do. UA is an exceptional school when it comes to inclusion so any inequality at all will be punished"
