"You're parents are dead, and I know the story. Wanna find out? Meet me at the main store @ 5pm. Don't be late."

It wasn't a voice I recognized but it still felt weird when I heard it. I don't know who this person is, but I'm pretty sure they have the wrong number.

My parents aren't dead, and there's no story. Should I meet them? If nothing else, I can kindly explain to them that they have the wrong number. Im not sure, but it's just now 12:30 pm, so I have plenty of time to decide.

-------------------

Nope. Never. Nada. Zero.
I've made my decision.
I will not be meeting anybody today.

I am going out today though. There's no way I can just stay in this house.

I put on some cute clothes, brush my teeth, and do my hair and makeup.  (Pic at top)

What? You seriously think I'ma come out the house lookin' anything but nice? I don't think so!

After completing my look, I go outside, hop in my car and drive to the park. Not the main one, the one with more wildlife than most people can handle.

I arrive and just sit on a bench with my eyes closed listening to music. As I drift I to my own little world I hear a gun shot.

My eyes jolt open to see a guy standing maybe 10 feet from me with a gun pointed at me. Wait, no. Not at me. I look behind me to see a dead bobcat.

It was hidden by the shadows and looked like it planned to make me a meal.

It was a minute before I realized he had both saved my life, and not left. He was still standing in front of me.

"Thanks, I guess."

"I guess?"

"Nevermind."

"Alright, and your welcome."

*Akward silence*

"Are you just gonna keep staring at me? I mean I know I'm hot be gosh!"

Oh no he didn't!

"Funny how unattractive guys hold the best company, huh?" I snapped back as I walked away.

He stood there dumbstruck for a second before chasing after me.

"Hey, wait up! We didn't finish our conversation."

Seriously?

"Oh really? My bad, I totally thought we had," sarcasm dripping from those words.

"There was no conversation."

"Oh yes there was and there is no way that you're going anywhere until we finish it."

"Huh! Oh really? Who said?"

And he better not say-

"Me." Of course he said it!

"That means nothing to me, sorry. In your world you might run everything, but in mine you don't exist, therefore have no power or control over me!"

"Whatever makes you happy. You're welcome again for saving your life!" He called, walking away.

What would make me happy is never seeing or having to deal with him again! Guess what? Apparently the universe didn't see fit for that to happen!

Why? I don't know. I asked the exact same question over and over a week later.
