After a good night's sleep, as good as it could be with you being too excited for the future to come and further being mostly unable to remain asleep, everyone woke bright and early to head back up to the top floor of the studio. Henry provided breakfast yet again, but you quickly scarfed it down, not bothering to savor anything as your mind solely focused on getting to work. You weren't worried at all, only excited for the final product.

Bendy laughed when you instantly sprang from your chair and burst out of the lounge, running so fast that he could've swore he saw a trail of smoke and dust behind you. Seeing you this joyous and excited for the first time since, well, since you finally reunited with him in the Ink Machine, was very uplifting. The Ink Demon couldn't help the ginormous smile that spread across his face at your childish behavior. The mini demons thought it was hilarious too. Firmly believing it was some strange game you were starting, they quickly chased after you and Bendy as if making an attempt to play tag.

When everyone arrived at the operation table near the entrance, the atmosphere slowly grew more calm and serious. You instantly got to work, the mini demons being of no distraction once Henry took them down to play at Heavenly Toys. Bendy went back to stand in the corner once more, just as he had done the day before. Sammy joined him this time.

The basics of the long operation were still very much fresh in your mind. There was a fair amount of difference between making a tiny toon and a humanoid figure, though. You had to construct a large, 3-D body complete with accurate anatomy. Luckily, being both an animator and an artist, you had an easier time working with Sammy's body structure and trying to remember his approximate proportions. The body, however, wasn't the part you were dreading.

Sammy's soul had passed on, moved from his old body and into his current Searcher body. You couldn't just meld his Searcher ink with the new body. It wasn't that simple. A way to extract Sammy's entire being, both his soul and his essence, was required. Understanding what had happened to make Sammy gain his Searcher body only made your mood worsen. You knew what have to be done, and it would not only be unpleasant, but it would be risky too.

"Darling." Bendy dared to speak up, keeping his voice so quiet it almost sounded like a mindless whisper of the dead. "You're making faces again. Come take a break."

Sighing roughly, you set down the tools in your hand and stepped away from the forming body. You were making good progress, shapes were starting to come together in a coherent manner. Wiping the ink off your hands, arms, and forehead from when you would try to wipe the sweat away, you walked over to Bendy and politely took the container of food from his waiting hands. Whether it was actual hunger or the stress of thinking about moving Sammy's soul, you couldn't have been more thankful that Henry had made you lunch alongside your breakfast.

"What's wrong?" The demon asked you softly, pulling up another chair to sit in right beside you. "You're worrying about something. I can tell. It's really weighing on you, isn't it?"

"It's nothing, I swear." You frowned, continuing to eat the sandwich in your hands. "It's just....one of the steps I have to take to finish this for Sammy. I'm really not looking forward to it. You'll figure out what I mean once we get to that part."

The demon smiled weakly at you, patting your back gently. "Whatever it is, we'll find a way and we'll get through it together. Just like we always do."

The conversation didn't go any further from there. You finished the rest of your lunch in silence, then got back to work. Surprisingly, you could actually feel the effects of the food in your stomach after a few minutes of getting back to work. Your mood brightened, your mind cleared, and your nerves relaxed. You almost felt as well as you did when you had first started.
