Alex and I returned to the suite, piling into our own rooms. We had to leave in a half hour and I wasn't anywhere close to be dinner ready.

Danny had told us the dinner was best casual. Nothing I wore was best casual except the outfit I wore the other night when Payton took me out for dinner.

I picked up my phone, brightening the screen. I had no notifications. I dialed his number, holding the phone to my ear, awaiting his answer. The taunting ringing making my heartbeat a little faster each time.

"Hello, it's Payton. Sorry I couldn't take your call-," I hung up.

I really hope he wasn't ignoring me because of the kiss. It didn't really mean anything, did it? He was probably just caught up in the moment and didn't want to yell anymore so he kissed me. Does that sound right?

This isolation from Payton wasn't a very warm feeling. He's my best friend. He always answers my calls. I didn't like what he was doing. A hard lump arose in my throat and I tried to swallow it down, but it was no use.

I just decided to get my mind off of it, so I turned on my phone, plugged it into my travel docking station, and turned on some Sam Smith.

Sam Smith is my favorite artist. His music is just so addicting that the first time I heard 'Stay With Me', I had to listen to all of his songs. He's just so connecting. I can connect with pretty much all of his songs.

I cranked up the volume just a little, hauling the machine to the bathroom. I finished my shower, drying off and slipping into the outfit. I blow-dryed my wavy hair, fluffing it for some volume, then dug into my makeup. I applied a light layer of foundation and powder to matte it down, then fixed up my eyebrows. I dusted on some light pink eye shadow, drew on liquid eyeliner, then brushed on some mascara. The only thing missing was my lips. I buttered them up with a nice pink gloss and kissed my reflection.

Stumbling to my room, Alex was sitting on my bed, a towel wrapped around her head. "I need your help."

"What's wrong?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow.

"Help me decide on what outfit to wear," she gripped my wrist, dragging me to her room. "I want to impress Harry."

I smiled at her, nodding, analyzing the different outfits she laid out. She came to the right person. I know Harry like the back of my hand.

"That one," I pointed to the cute little blazer and black jeans. "It'll make you look more sophisticated."

"Are you sure?"

"Honey, if I know that Harry would love to see someone there tonight with maturity, I know it'd be you," I complimented her, which made her smile brightly and blush a little. At the meeting, I looked at the other dancers who all looked stuck up and snotty. They also all had fake tans and dyed hair.

"Aw, really?" She giggled, trying to hide her red face that reflected her hair. "Thanks Lil, that means a lot."

I nodded, smiling back, then exited her room. I moved back to my room, finishing the last few touches of my outfit. My black trench coat that hung to my knees, hiding my entire outfit underneath. I spritzed on a few squirts of perfume, my favourite, peach, then grabbed my phone and purse.

I met Alex back in her bathroom where she fixed up her makeup a little. Then, arm-in-arm, we both walked outside to find everyone else.

We all sat around a large table in a booth in the back of the restaurant. It was for specialty VIP service only. I felt pretty good about myself.

I was sitting next to Niall on my right side, a dancer named Daisy on my left, and Alex across from me. She seemed pretty happy to be sitting next to Harry once again.
