It wasn't until near sunset when Alex and I returned back to the hotel. We had been so distracted at breakfast, then we went to scope out the city. Alex showed me a few things she had already found, like the mall and good restaurants, and before we knew it, the sky was diming slowly.
As the elevator to our floor dinged open, Lou passed by us in the hall. We had bags in our hands and smiles on our faces from the enjoyment we've had with each other.
"Oh, there you girls are!" Lou breathed a sigh of relief, pulling us from the elevator. "We've been looking every where for you guys. Danny wanted a quick meeting with the girls in the private lounge before heading to dinner. I suggest you go there now before you miss what's to happen."
"Oh, well we have to put our bags away," Alex pointed out, holding up the mulitple bags that we carried.
"I'll put them in your foyer, get to the lounge," Lou demanded, snatching the bags from us. She left with a genuine smile and blow-kiss before we left off in the elevator again.
"She has a room key?" I pondered out loud, looking at Alex with a puzzled expression. It's our room and privacy for a reason, why would she have a room key? We might as well all just share a room.
"Lou has to have one in case of an emergency. She has one for every dancer's room. She's basically our mother on tour." Alex explained, being as thorough as possible. I nodded, the door dinging open. We walked out together, looking for a sign that may have told us where to go.
"Where do we go?" I asked, my head turning and looking for anything.
"I don't know, maybe I can ask someone," she said, pointing to the bell hop behind the desk. "Um, excuse me?" The bell hop looked up, a small lanky guy who's uniform was one size too big. "Do you know where the private lounge may be?"
"You're part of One Direction?" He asked us, a little look of disbelief flashing through his eyes. He laughed, loudly.
I jumped back a little and scoffed. "Is there a problem?" I asked him, before Alex could speak anymore.
He continued his laughing fit, then spoke, wiping his eyes for tears. "I just need to see a pass and I'll lead the way."
"Pass?" I looked at him, confused. My anger started to bubble in the pit of my stomach. I looked at Alex. "We don't have passes."
"Then for all I know, you're some prissy little actresses looking for a way into seeing the boys. Sorry, ma'am, but I can't bring you to the private lounge until I see a validated pass."
I blinked, stunned for a moment. Was he kidding? I started walking towards the desk, leaning my elbows up on the high countertop. "Are the boys there in the private lounge? We were told by Lou Teasdale that this meeting was for the dancers."
"Like I said, ma'am," he rolled his eyes at my words, "I can't let you by unless I see a validated pass."
My face flared with anger and I was suddenly, extremely annoyed. Great, my first day here and I'm going to be late. This isn't looking good for me. Plus, this kid has an attitude, a bad one too. How does he have a job here? He should be working for a convenience store, not a classy five-star hotel as a bell hop.
"Oh, I'll show you a validated pass!" I started to hurl over the counter, snatching the collar of his uniform. I pulled him close, raising a clenched fist. Alex moved forward, chanting for me to stop and trying to pull me back but I didn't let go.
A loud, errupting cough sounded through the echoing, empty lobby. I stopped, all of us in our positions, watching the man who had stood there with his arms crossed over his chest. He was a tall guy, breaching about six feet tall. He was well built, really well built. He had a mope of curly brown locks on his head. An impatient look on his face. His oh-so familiar face.
