The sun hit my eyes, making me close them immediately.
I buried my head in my pillows, and screamed.
Myungdae quickly came running in.
"Miss? Are you okay?"
"NO!"
"Why?"
"I really don't feel like waking up, but I just know everyone would ruin everything if I'm not there to manage."
"Miss Go, I can promise you I can manage them correctly. Please just go out on the town and relax."
I stared at Myungdae, I knew he wouldn't be able to manage them.
"Okay, go ahead. You mess this up, and you're out for a job." I said, before shooing him out of the room.
It was 9AM, I didn't want to eat breakfast, it was too late to hit the gym. It was nothing really to do. I had that charity event I had to attend tomorrow, I didn't have anything to wear though. I could go shopping I guess.
I was walking to the plaza, because I didn't live to far away from it. It took me like 30 minutes to get there.
My fault for walking without Myungdae though, everyone asked for pictures and autographs.
It was swiftly interrupted by police cars speeding down the street, as if they were on a high speed chase.
I had to get away from the crowd and make it to the mall.
As I was walking, I thought about Hyejoo. Many people would think that writing letters to each other was useless. I don't know about that though. It seemed as if writing a letter was more meaningful than sending a text.
Plus, I don't think Hyejoo had a phone- I could also assume that was due to her financial situation.
I should slip some money in her next letter.
I sat in the waiting room of the dress shop, and then all of a sudden a middle-aged woman with tall black hair, arched eyebrows, and dark lipstick came up to me.
"Hello Gowon, I already know exactly who you are, and exactly what you're looking for!"
I raised my eyebrow, "Huh?"
"Yes! You're famous for your dark Lolita-Like dresses, and makeup."
I nodded, "Yes, but I'm not here for that. I need a baby blue dress for a charity event." I said nonchalant.
She nodded, and patted my shoulder. "I got you! Gowon, sit up. If you keep slouching like that you'll be walking like Quasimodo by thirty."
I rolled my eyes, and waited for her to return with a dress.
I was supposed to be relaxing but this still felt like a chore.
"I found the perfect dress for you, Gowon. It's a bit long though.. You're kind of short, you need to come back tomorrow while I alter this." The lady walked back into the room, but quickly left after she finished talking to me.
Maybe I should've went to work today, this day was moving way too slow.
Namwon was kind of hectic, it was a small rural town in Korea and it was never like this, but all types police cars were paroling the area.
They must've been after that Olivia chick. I swear she couldn't have been THIS good at escaping.
I looked both ways before crossing the walkway, and somehow I nearly got hit by a police car- before someone that was swinging on the power line, somehow not getting electrocuted grabbed me by my hand.
I screamed, there has to be another word to describe how I felt. I feel like surprised isn't enough. I was swinging through the air. Like that first scene in Aladdin.
"Don't look down." I heard a woman's voice and I was too scared to see her face.
She kind of saved my life, but it didn't stop me from being terrified.
The power line, went over a building and the woman looked down at me-
"Okay, jump off now." She said.
I jumped off, even though I was terrified. We were on top of a building by now, It wasn't too tall.
I finally got a look at the woman, she was hanging on to the power line with her shirt.. This woman was genius, AND A CRIMINAL.
I screamed, "YOU'RE OLIVIA!" I looked for somewhere to run to, but like I said before we were on top of a building that wasn't that tall, but still unsafe to jump off of.
"Yes I am." She said casually, "You almost got knocked by that cop car. You owe me for saving your life."
I shook my head in disbelief, I knew she didn't do this out of the goodness of her heart.
"Listen, I'm constantly on the run from the police as you could imagine."
I was listening to her talk, and something about her. The way she sat on the edge of the building like she was used to this. Her smirk, as she spoke. To be a notorious criminal, the volume of her voice was quiet and her skin was scarred and so many bruises. She appeared to be the same age as me. She was still pretty, her hair was jet black- the ends were split and her hair was greasy.
"Police are obsessed with me, because I escaped from some type of inescapable prison and I guess-"
"Why are you telling me." I interrupted, I was fearful of this woman after everything I had heard on the news she seemed like the scariest villain ever. Somehow instead of Jafar, she was giving off Aladdin.
"I need your help, you see- I'm kind of sick of running around from the police. I need somewhere to stay."
"I'm not harboring a criminal." I said, as i began to back away.
"You would be dead, If I was a second late." She frowned, "Why can't you just do this for me?"
"I don't even know who you are, all I know is that you're a criminal and my reputation cannot be-"
I watched her hands move to her waist, and she took out a piece of paper.
"If you're not going to help me, can you at least mail this letter." She handed me a piece of a folded paper, and I began to open it up.
"Ah! Don't open it.." She scratched her neck, and looked down at the floor. "It's personal.."
I rolled my eyes, "Oh for f-"
"Are you going to mail it?" She asked, she seemed vulnerable.
"Sure, if you turn yourself in." I said, before handing her back the piece of paper.
She didn't respond, nor did she take the paper.
She responded after what seemed like 3 minutes, "Okay."
I tilted my head, "What?"
"I'll turn myself in, just make sure she gets the letter." She said, she grabbed the cloth and began to split away.
"Wait!" I yelled out, "What's her name and address!"
She grabbed the cloth, and began to slide down the power line as she yelled back to me, "Chaewon! She lives here in Namwon district!"
I stood motionless with horror, "What..." I said to myself.
