"Me and Myungdae will be coming back soon." I said, it hurt to leave her but we couldn't stay here.. or at least I couldn't stay here it would be too much of a risk.
"That's understandable. I'll let you know when i'm able to leave." Chaewon said, giving me a small smile.
I began to head out before I heard her begin to speak.
"What is my room?" She asked me.
I squinted my eyes at her, "I'll show you later." and winked before hopping out the window.
"Myungdae!" I whispered yelled, "Where are you?"
"I'm right here... Hurry up!" He yelled back.
I quickly ran over to his car, "What do we do now?"
Myungdae stayed quiet. I knew it was useless to ask him things. I stared outside it was a nice day with clear skies, kind of humid after the thunderstorm though.
"Hey. Hyejoo how long do you think they'll have her in there?" Myungdae asked in disregard to my previous question.
"I don't know." I said, shrugging my arms. "She looked pretty fucked up when I got there." I said before getting a glimpse of Myungdae's face which happened to be full of despair.
"This is all my fault.. I can't ever protect her." He began.
I tilted my head, looking at him in pure confusion. "You know she got hit by a car, right?"
"I know.. I shouldn't have let her chase after you.." Myungdae said, his eyes still focused on his lap. Man, he was totally broken. I wish I could get it through his thick skull.
I just shook my head and kept my gaze ahead, "Let's go back to her residence."
Myungdae nodded, before pushing the breaks and we were back to square one.

I didn't want to snoop around her things, but I couldn't help but notice her set-up in her office where she wrote her letters.
I smiled to myself, she was so organized. Her house was so Victorian but modern at the same time. Everything about Chaewon was absolutely mesmerizing. I'm glad she forgave me, and I just hope she can finally get it through her skull that I care so much about her, and I don't want to hurt her.
It's so much harder to express your feelings for someone when it's not over words.
I sat in her chair, and opened up her drawers slowly. I was getting a bit carried away by snooping through her things. I was just so fascinated. I picked up her pen and began to write on a piece of lined paper.
Dear Chaewon,
Today I found out you were a goth Lolita fashion icon that goes by Gowon! We talked some about it, and you didn't really tell me why you kept this a secret.
I could understand why I'd keep my status a secret, but you? Totally weird.
Whatever, I'm just glad I got to learn about you.
I think ever since we met each other in the real world your life has been so much more chaotic. I even heard you got hit by a car?
I'll make sure to visit you everyday if I can.
Sincerely, Hyejoo.
I tossed it in the trash immediately after though, that was probably the stupidest one I've ever wrote. It was a bit insulting too.
I lifted my head when I heard the doorbell ring. I heard Heeyoung answer the door, and panic spread across my body.
"Hello, we're detectives from the police department. You wouldn't mind if we searched Miss Chaewon's residence?"
I listened to Heeyoung's voice as I scanned the room for places to hide. I later decided on not hiding, and getting out of the house. I couldn't bring more trouble to Chaewon. I wouldn't allow myself to let her get hurt. I cared too much about her, and her well-being.
I looked over to the closest window.
"She's not here." Heeyoung responded.
"That doesn't matter, here take a look." The detective responded. She sounded so cocky it was a bit discouraging. I was already hidden outside of the house.
I stayed in position as the searched the house. I looked inside through the window I had hopped out of.
"I know she's here..." The detective said, which made me think... how exactly did she know I was there?
"She's not. You're at the wrong house." Myungdae spoke up, but the detective ignored him and continued to open cabinets and closets.
I rolled my eyes, I would be safe as long as she didn't try to come outside. The harsh leaves poking in the back of my back was more than uncomfortable. Hiding in a bush was less than convenient but hiding in the house wouldn't be safe.
Some time passed, and the lady began to speak. "We'll be back."
Heeyoung just stared at her with a blank expression and a small shrug, "Okay."
The lady detective then left, and I sighed to myself. What the heck just happened?
Myungdae called me over, "Hey! She's gone."
I nodded in reply, before hopping out the bush and through the window.
"I'm gonna go call Gowon. I have no idea what that was about." Myungdae said, he seemed nervous but that was usual for him.
I looked at his hands as he dialed Chaewon's number.
"Myungdae... Relax." I said.
He looked up at me for a second before nodding.
"Who do you think saw me?" I asked Heeyoung
She faced me and shrugged, "I know you're expecting me to say.. No one could've seen you. But a lot of people work for Gowon. A lot of people could've seen you so it's hard to pin point it on one person."
I cursed under my breath, and my mind began to race. "Then I have to leave town."
Myungdae had the phone to his ear, and he looked at me with wide eyes, "You can't. Gowon wouldn't like that."
I shook my head, when would Chaewon understand that I do the things I do to keep her safe.
