Norman and I were laughing in the middle of Barnes and noble down the street from the coffee shop over a book in the humor section. People around us surely were wondering what the hell was going on. I snorted very loudly one hand holding the book the other holding my coffee now in a to-go cup.

"Oh my god" I was almost in tears crying. In the book were all of these hilarious jokes. I was reading some of them out loud to Norman and acting them out. People were staring at us and I didn't care. I said a really funny line and Norman doubled over in laughter.

"Oh Christ" Norman laughed in between breathes. "Where did you come from?" He cracked up again and was smiling at me.

"We are totally gonna get kicked out" I replied cracking up laughing. Norman poked my side.

"I love hanging out with you today" he grinned at me now a serious look on his face. I licked my lips and took a sip of my coffee my eyes locking with his. I wanted to kiss him right then but I held back. He was just so perfect and we really got along so well. I was really liking him a lot.

Suddenly Normans phone starting ringing and it broke our moment of staring. "One minute, Paige ok?" He said softly then headed over to the DVD section and pick up his phone and have a quieter conversation without distracting more attention.

"Hello?" Norman said on the phone. "Hello yourself" the voice replied. Norman rolled his eyes it was Helena.

Norman was silent then said "what's up?"

"When are you flying my son out to you?" She inquired a bitchy tone obvious in her voice. Norman was walking over to the TV second and now was staring at all five seasons of The Walking Dead on DVD.

"I got him a ticket this morning Helena" Norman said eyeing now a figure he saw of himself with the season 5 DVD case carrying a small toy crossbow. "His flight leaves in 2 days on Friday" he said and sighed.

"Ok well i expect you to be at the airport waiting for him. I'm going with him it's not safe to fly alone for his age" she said that slightly bitchy tone on her voice still. Norman sighed.

"Helena he is like fifteen years old"

"I don't care I want to fly with him there and then I got a flight a few hours later back to New York" she said matter of factly. "He's mine son too" she said emphasizing the word 'too'.

"Fine" Norman signed "I will be there at 5:30 am waiting for his flight to come in"

"Ok" she said and Norman pressed end. Suddenly he was annoyed. Why did she have to be such a bitch to him? Why couldn't they tolerate even a phone call with each other??

Norman sighed again and slid his phone into his back pocket and began looking for me. I was looking at some books in the Cooking section when Norman came up behind me and put his hands over my eyes.

"Guess who?" That raspy voice breathed in my ear and made all my hair stand up and made me get goosebumps. I smiled.

"Who?" I said laughing.

"Surprise!" He said and spun me around his hands on my shoulders. I smiled at him.

"Come on you wanna go see a movie?" He said looking at me his eyes sparkling underneath his sunglasses. He gently took my hand. My heartbeat quickened.

"Are you asking me out on a date Norman?" I said blushing. He squeezed my hand.

"Yes" he said grinning. I couldn't resist I nodded.

"What do you have in mind?" I asked.

"Not sure we will figure it out and we can make it a surprise!" Norman smiled at me and lead me out of the store his hand on the small of my back. His hand disappeared as he thumbed around his leather jacket for a smoke.

"I like you" he said. He took out the zippo and ignited the cigarette and inhaled.

I couldn't say anything all I could do was smile at him. He brushed a piece of hair out of my face and put one arm around me, and my heart beat paced as we walked in silence down the theatre district to the movies.

I looked at him at the corner of my eye as he stamped out a cigarette. There was something so kind and gentle like that he would just take in 50 kittens but be a badass while doing it. He was kind and a gentlemen and down to earth but at the same time he was willing to stick his neck out for anyone and if it had to be he would be kicking ass and taking names. This day was perfect I thought as we walked into the theatre now out of the cold to get our tickets.

"Thank you" I said. He looked at me.

"Why?"

"For being you. I like you, Norman". And with that he hugged the one arm around me tighter as we walked into the dim lit theatre to get our seats...
