Love Is a Handfull of Secrets

Chapter 12

Since I forgot my school bag I had to get back into my apartment to grab it for my class at 6. I was going to go right from Dinner to my class at BU where I went to college for my Masters. It was 4:45 by the time I arrived at Mamma Maria a small quaint Italian restaurant on Hanover Street. I lived a few blocks away from the North end so Italian dinners were very convenient during the week.

I slipped out my phone and began typing a message to Elyse telling her I arrived when suddenly I got a ping and a text from Norman. I opened his message and smiled.

"I miss you babe ;)" it said.
I typed back "I miss you too!!"

I opened Elyse's texts and sent her a quick response "I'm here Mamma Maria"

"Ok I'll be there soon the green line was a little held back"

I typed back, "LOL the green line blows! You should know that".

I laughed and slipped my phone in my purse. A waiter came outside to greet me.

"Hi table for one?" He grinned.

"Oh I'm actually meeting someone they should be here any minute" I replied pulling out a long thin cigarette and my lighter from my jacket pocket.

He nodded and then said politely, "Sure m'am let me know when your party arrives" and he slipped back inside.

I lit my cigarette and took a large inhale. I looked at the building. It was one of those very very old red brick restaurants like one you would see on a price commercial with fancy table settings and big picture windows that would be open in the summer time but were closed in the bleak of winter. Wafting out from the restaurant was the warm smell of garlic bread and mozzarella cheese. My stomach was rumbling when Elyse finally arrived.

I took my last inhale of my cigarette then stomped it out.

"Hey girl hey!" Elyse exclaimed pulling me into a bear hug.

"Hey! Lets eat I'm starving" I said and my stomach was rumbling. Suddenly something or someone caught my eye...

"What are you looking at? Let's go inside" Elyse was nudging me.

"There's a guy down that alley that looks like Kinda like Norman" I replied I couldn't see a camera crew anywhere or another person. I shrugged it off it was probably my imagination. I stepped back inside the restaurant with Elyse glancing back at the mysterious figure..

I got chills I wanted to be with him right now kissing his soft lips feeling his heart beat and hear him telling me how beautiful I was. I wanted to have his voice in my ear, get intoxicated off of his scent and just lay around and do nothing but talk. I whipped out my phone and sent him another quick text.

"I keep thinking about you :-*"

He was typing. Then a text and a ping noise. "I do too I am counting down the hours until I see you again". I blushed and smiled.

"Just wondering what are you doing right now?" I asked. He was typing.

"We took a break was thinking of getting a bite to eat" he texted back. The waiter suddenly came out with our food 15 minutes later. My stomach rumbled. "Oh OK I'm just staring to eat myself" I texted back.

Suddenly he walked into the restaurant. I almost fainted. What a surprise!!!

Elyse looked up from her plate after she heard what sounded like a squeal come out of me. She playfully rolled her eyes. Norman sat right next to me and kissed my lips.

"Hey not at the table you two!" She laughed.

Norman was wearing a black leather jacket his hair was disheveled and his eyes were looking at me warm and lovingly. He put his hand on my knee and smiled. I had food on my chin i didn't know was there. I giggled because he was noticing it. 

"You got something-" Norman started

I wiped my face clean of whatever food was on it. I laughed and blushed as he stroked my knee cap, sending chills down my spine.

"You" I said blushing. 

"You" Norman insisted. He licked his lips and i stared at him. I wanted so badly to just make out with him right here right now in the middle of the North End and make everyone in this restaurant jealous. I wanted to bite that bottom lip, and grab his hair and I was imagining him making out with me right on top of the bar over there. Now I was staring into space. Norman waved his hand in front of my face.

"You there babe?" He giggled. "Yeah sorry just uh-" I turned a million shades of red in front of Elyse but then leaned in real close to his ear so my lips were barely on his ear lobes which made him shiver. "I was uh just thinking about you and me, making out on top of that bar over there and how... hot... it would be" I said emphasizing the word hot. Norman gulped and slid his hand around my waist trying to not to go insane over my words.

He leaned into my ear and whispered "After class call me.." so close to my ear and his voice was so raspy and soft. He stroked my earlobe very very softly. I smiled. "I will" i said louder.

"I have to go" Norman said pouting. "I will miss you! OH and Elyse!"

Elyse looked at both of us and mouthed to me, you guys need to get a room! 

"Yes??" she smiled then laughed. Norman wasn't dumb he could read lips.

"I will have Sean call you later too, I have something specail planned when Paige is out of class" he winked at me. I wonder what he was planning...

"Ok!" Elyse smiled. "We'll hear from ya'll later" she said.

"Bye Baby" Norman said winking at me before turning his heel and walking out the restaurant. 

Oh good lord was I in love...
