**IMPORTANT..ish**So we're rushing into an ending, but I'm trying to make it awesome anyways. SO I plan on only one more chapter before the epilouge... sadness. It's almost over. but also THANK GOODNESS this thing is gonna make it in time yay! Oh and the song off to the side is perfect for this stage of Hunter and Roxie's relationship its Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift. BTW do yall want to know the MOH playlist I have on my ipod? Comment if you do and if enough want it I'll post it at the beginning of the next chapter. Enjoy :)
“They were once called Blood Howl, but after the war with Moon Song they split into Blood Claw and Howl Song. Years ago Howl Song was supposed to have destroyed Blood Claw and its Alpha, Jackal Scavenge, with the help of the Alpha of the Blazing Fire Pack, now the Blazing Moon Song pack.”
“I’m getting lost, so Scavenge is alive?” Roxie questioned trying to keep up with all the different packs and alphas.
“No, but his mate is. Helena Scavenge, aka Helena Crow. Everyone involved in that trading ring is a creature you don’t think exists. She’s part of a huge scar in our history. Blood Claw is apparently still alive in some members, like Moon Song’s survival in its few left over numbers. They were able to rebuild and stay a pack even in separation, we’re afraid that Blood Claw has done the same.”
“What does this mean for the Roxie and I,” Ella asked staring out a window with a numb mind.
Noah replied, “It means the resolving of this won’t be involving anything in terms of human government or police. The packs will work together to handle this problem.”
“It’s that simple?”
“No, it’s that hard. Orchid Moon and Blazing Moon Song are already planning on how to take out the organization. We’re working with Alpha Quill and Alpha Deere of Fire Tail. Calls have already been made into the other packs that once fell victim to Blood Howl and Claw. We may even get a little help from Howl Song.”
“I am so lost,” Ella muttered rubbing her temples. “As long as this all gets resolved and we’re safe right?”
The wolves looked to the humans and the humans looked to the wolves. Hunter pulled Roxie tighter to his side and answered, “You’ll be safe.” He was mostly saying it to Roxie, but since keeping her safe also kept Ella safe…
Ella could see the answer’s meaning and nodded, returning to brooding silence. There wasn’t much more to say. The shifters weren’t answering many questions. Just like the enemy had done with Roxie and Ella, they in turn would be swept under the rug, out of sight, out of mind, and unable to cause trouble. Though she wasn’t sure how she felt about fighting fire with fire she certainly wasn’t going to stand in the way of a bunch of giant dogs.
“So what about the wedding,” She asked and immediately regretted it as Rosie looked shyly at Ethan across the room.
Rosie wrung her hands together. “I think Ethan and I need to talk…”
Without answering Ethan stood and walked out of the room. Roxie put a hand at her sister’s back and gave a little push. Looking at her twin Rosie shook her head. “Come on, it’ll be fine,” Roxie assured her, “soul mates remember.”
A smirk crossed the latter twins face, “You’ve sure done a turnaround in the last few weeks Rox, I’m not sure if I like the non cynical version of you.”
