ON THE WAY

to Santalune City,  the group discovered a small Dedenne struggling to pick a berry.

once the small Pokémon managed to pick it off, the berry fell and bounced off Pikachu, startling the yellow Pokémon.

Pikachu bounced over to the berry inspecting it when a small shock came from the Dedenne for Pikachu to back off the berry.

the berry flew and bopped Bonnie on the head, making Luna giggle a little. "Bonnie are you okay?" Clemont said worried, helping his sister up.

"yeah, but I think that Pokémon wanted this." Bonnie says holding up the berry in her hand. as she said that the small Pokémon tried running toward the berry but was stopped by Pikachu.

"that Pokémon is a Dedenne, hes an electric type." Luna states proudly.

the two electric Pokémon started communicating by using electricity, Luna slightly smiling at the interaction.

Ash pulled out his Pokédex to figure out what Dedenne could do and this led to Bonnie wanting Clemont to keep the Pokémon for her.

"i'll take great care of it!" Bonnie claims, tugging on her older brothers sleeves. Clemont stood there debating whether he should or not.

"aw do it!" Ash yells, "we can help you catch it right Luna!" he look towards Luna smiling hopefully.

"oh? o-oh yeah definitely!" she said shocked that he called her for backup.

"alright then let's catch Dedenne!" Clemont agreed. Bonnie walked up to the mouse Pokémon, about to give it the small berry when a Fletchling snatched it from them and ate it.

the Dedenne ran off crying making Bonnie cry as well which angered Ash's froakie.

Froakie jumped up, throwing the bubble like texture from around his neck at the small robin bird but it dodged all of them.

"Ash you have an advantage with your Pikachu, i think this will be a great experience for you."  Luna says encouragingly.

as Ash is about to call Pikachu the Froakie continues to try and battle the fletchling.

"he's not following orders just like Professor Sycamore said!" Clemont shouted, watching Ash trying to get the Froakie to back off.

"Esme i choose you!" Luna stated, her plan wasn't to catch the Fletchling but to stop Froakie from attacking. "Esme use Psychic on that Froakie!"

her Espeons eyes glowed blue, immediately capturing the Froakie as it struggled against the strong hold.

this gave Clemont enough time to bring out his 'Flying-type Pokémon Attractor Machine' to try and lure out the Fletchling, which not only did it explode but attracted a huge group of Bee-drill.

"Esme, Psybeam!"  Luna yelled the command making the Pokémon turn from Froakie quickly and using the attack on the Bee-drill.

"Espeons are weak against bug types but yours managed to take out every single one! amazing !" Clemont says, wiping off his sweat while saying 'phew'.

"and she kept her hold on Froakie at the same time? I'm impressed but..."

"but?"

Clemont looked at Luna confused, "you could easily catch the Fletchling with your Espeons Psychic Ability, why'd you get Froakie?"

She smiled while watching Ash battle the bird Pokémon with Pikachu, "the point of this journey is for us to all grow strong right?"

Clemont nodded slightly understanding, "yes but you could prevent Pikachu from getting hurt."

"that's just it though, Clemont, if Ash wants him and his Pokémon to get stronger, getting hurt although may seem rough will help them get stronger."

"plus, it's great to practice and he will have a gym battle soon so getting this Fletchling is a necessity for 3-on-3 battles." Luna added as Ash caught the Fletchling in pokeball.

they all cheered on Ash, Luna giving Esme the hand sign to release Froakie. as soon as Froakie was let go he turned to where Espeon and tried to attack before realizing how pretty the eevee evolution was.

immediate heart eyes appeared on Froakie, making everyone laugh at how awe-struck he looked. as if trying to tease him, she used her tail to push his mouth up before jumping onto Lunas shoulder.

Froakie immediately fell down, still having heart eyes at the moment with Espeon. everyone giggled at the interaction, petting the Espeon on her head.

"congrats on the Fletchling Ash!" Bonnie said.

"thanks! though i think me and Froakie still have to work things out." Ash said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"but now you have your 3rd pokemon!"  Luna cheers, "seriously, you should feel proud!"

"yes now let's go to the Santalune Gym!" we all cheered, going on our way.
