It took all my strength, but I pulled my self out of the water. "Gabe?" "GABE?!" I kept shouting but got no reply. I jumped back in the water and saw him. His leg was caught under the canoe!
I swam to the canoe and tried pulling him out. That didn't work. So I tipped the canoe over and dragged him onto the shore. He never did thank me.
I heard a chopping noise. Piranhas were eating our paddles! Now we didn't have a way back! Gabe woke up and we started looking around. "Look! Over here!" Gabe said!
