Oops, sorry this isn't on Tuesday
The ground started shaking. Hudson started crying. Then, there was a huge cracking noise as the ground split apart. It was so fast we didn't even have time to react before we fell. The ground was cold and hard. I was on my back.
I knew Wilona was trouble when she walked in. Then I realized Wilona hadn't fallen. I had fallen HARD. She had taken a step back without me.
So once upon a time, we made a few mistakes, and befriended Wilona. No apologies will be made for that. She ran off, and I realized the joke is on me.
I slowly got up, my back aching. Gabe got up a few minutes after. We looked around. Everything was metal. No doors, no windows, no escape. The ground above us closed up. So now there really WASN'T an escape route.
I saw Gabe feeling against the wall, so I did the same. I felt a notch, but it was nothing. The ground fell from underneath me. I was tumbling down a weird tunnel. The tunnel was made of dirt.
I fell face first into water. At first, I didn't realize it, then I swam back up. Gabe was on the other side of me. Slowly, the water was rising! I looked for anything. I didn't see anything.
I swam under, when I saw a pressure plate. It was stone and had a smiling sun on it. It was too far to reach. I couldn't swim that far. I swam back up and saw a giant smiling sun on the roof! If I could just reach the pressure plate, we could get out. I heard a splash.
It was Wilona! She gave me Hudson and swam under. I saw the roof move a bit, before stopping. Wilona dove back down, and the roof opened up. I got nervous. Wilona has been under for over a minute!
Gabe jumped out and grabbed Hudson. I dove down. Wilona was struggling to get back up. I swam down and grabbed her arm. Now I was struggling! Apparently, Gabe was useful for once and noticed. He dived down, leaving Hudson, to help me get Wilona up.
When we got back up, Hudson was being dragged away by someone. Wilona shouted something is Spanish and ran after the person. Me and Gabe followed. The person had a deep voice. It was a man.
"I am Koostko," the man said, "and I am taking this child". "NO!" Wilona shouted. Koostko ran down the passageway, and we followed. A metal door slammed in front of us, with no knob or anything.
"How are we going to get out?" I asked. Gabe pointed to a lamp. "I know how" he said. He grabbed the lamp and ran to the pool of water. He threw the lamp in after turning it on. Nothing happened. "Will this work?" Wilona asked, pulling a toaster out of her back pocket. How'd she even fit that back there?!
"Yes" Gabe replied, plugging in the toaster and throwing the toaster in the water. The lights went out, and the door opened. "When the power goes out," he explained, "all doors operated by buttons open"
We ran through the doorway. We couldn't even see each other. We ran until we hit a solid wall. We ran back to the water, confused. "This better not be some Harry Potter crap" I heard Gabe mutter.
"First off, Harry Potter is not crap. Second off, it might actually be. We have to believe we can get through the wall and we will" I said.
We all linked arms and ran towards the wall. It felt magical when I went through. When I looked around, I saw that, miraculously, everyone made it through the wall.
This place looked like a dungeon. A light was flickering. My guess is the electricity didn't go out in here. Must be because of the magic. There were many cells, one after the other.
Abby was in one. We ran over and found Hudson in there too. It was locked. No one said anything, in fear that Koostko would show up. He wasn't really scary, just insane. Completely insane.
We looked for a key everywhere, but couldn't find one. We even looked way back in the water. Then it hit me. "Either Koostko has the key or its way back in the room with the metal walls!" I exclaimed quietly.
