Before the main story events, when Venus first came to the lair and when the turtles, April, and splinter were younger.
April strolled through the sewer towards the lair, confused by the message Mikey had sent her hours prior. She glanced back to her cell phone at the text, "Come soon! BIG SURPRIZE, TOO MUCH! CAN'T SAY OVER PHONE! YOU WILL LOSE IT!" Blinking in confusion, April shrugged. 'He probably made a new pizza based recipe he wants me to try.' she figured. After awhile, April arrived at the opening of the entrance. "Guys, I'm here. What's this BIG SURPRISE you want to lay on me?" Her eyes scoured the area until they settled on a new area in the lair that wasn't there before. A room? Was that they wanted to show her? Curious, she wandered up to the upper levels where their bedrooms were. April couldn't help but notice that the room was looked a bit smaller than the other bedrooms. And she could've sworn she heard whispers as well as...cooing? What the? She jogged the rest of the way to the room. Upon further inspection, it had a teal colored hue around it. What was this?
"Guys, are you in here? Seriously, what is going on?" As April entered, she saw the four turtles AND Splinter standing in a huddle. The cooing and babbling was a bit more audible. Mikey was the first to see her, "April! You're here, good! Something magnificent recently happened to us!" The orange turtle cheered as he rushed towards April and grabbed her hand; pulling her forward to their little huddle. Whatever the other three turtles and rat were standing over, they immediately spun around and blocked her view of it.
"April," Leo began, " you know you're like a big sister to us, right?" April slowly nodded at the strange question, "Yeah, sure I do." She was trying to peek over their shoulders to see what those coos were. Unfortunately, Raph's statuesque figure made that difficult. "And you know we're practically like family, right?" Raph interjected. Okay, this was getting a bit too sketchy. She nodded again. "You're always saying stuff about what it would be like if we had a sister." Mikey chirped. "One to love, protect, and help get in touch with our sensitive sides." Splints grinned. "No one knows why on that last one. Being sensitive and vulnerable? Not my thing." Donnie cut in, before Leo gave him an elbow to the side.
The yellow clad teenage girl blinked at their words for a few seconds, before she rushed forward pushing them aside, and glanced down. "Oh me gosh...." April gasped. Laying there on what was an old bassinet was a little baby turtle. The little turtle was a nice pale green, big innocent doe-like black eyes, a teal colored ribbon wrapped around its-her head. A cyan blanket covered her. The baby girl stared up at April in innocent confusion before she smiled a wide toothless smile and stretched her hands up at her. Adorable little coos floated from her mouth at this odd puffy haired stranger. April glanced back and forth, mouth agape from the grinning older turtles and short rat man to the precious little baby turtle girl smiling and babbling at her.
"Who...how..when...WHAT!?" April all but shrieked. Mikey skipped over next to April and picked up the baby, cuddling and kissing her plump cheeks. If not, for THIS WHOLE SITUATION, the scene would've been super cute. "April, before you unload on us all your questions, let us introduce to the newest member of our fam wagon. Our baby sister, Venus De Milo! Or Venus for short."
