Chapter 9~ Bananas for you

Slam's POV~

"God damn it Adam." Max says before running down the hall. My gut clenches at the thought of the repulsive thing coming here to get Max. Yeah, I know that it's here for max. Chilled had known about feelings for Max and was gracious enough to tell me that he liked the company of and invisible thing, more than mine. I can't let him get taken from me. I glance up and notice I'm sprinting down the hall. Where did that damn Mexican run off to?

Max's POV~

I know exactly where that bugger was and i needed to get there before anyone found him. I run down the basement steps, make three right turns then one left. This leaves me at a long corridor with doors on each side, all the way down. I begin to walk down the hall, only stopping when I end up at the second last door on the right side. The only room in the entire building (other than the bathrooms) without a camera. I turn the knob and enter the room. As soon as I step in, I'm slammed against the door and hear the nearly silent click of it locking shut.

"Glad you could join the party love" Adam basically purrs into my ear. I shudder. I feel his breathing on my neck before he begins leaving feather light kisses.

"Show your self" I say. I surprise myself by not stuttering and actually sounding stern. I feel his lips be removed from my neck and watch as he slowly becomes visible. We stare into each others eyes for a moment. I can't take this anymore. I grab his cheeks and pull him into a rough kiss. This man makes me crazy. Adam pulls away.

"You know, love. I would have found that incredibly attractive if I wasn't upset about what you were just doing in your room" Adam says. His tone of voice was scary. My stomach drops as I remember the kiss I shared with Aaron. How I didn't push him away- wait. Adam couldn't know about that, the door was shut...As if reading my mind, Adam speaks.

"I can go invisible love, I saw what happened. Please answer my next question with completely honesty. Do you love me? Or the man upstairs?" Adam's facial experession and tone of voice make my heart shatter. He was actually sad. This seemingly emotionless man was hurt, and it's my fault.

"Of course I love you. I carve the feeling of your arms around my waist, of your lips on mine. You're adorable and kind and mad and crazy all at the same time. You're different than anyone I've ever met. And that laugh, don't even get me started on that laugh that gives me butterflies. You could be laughing at death and I still wouldn't be able to stop laughing along. Of course I love you, you're you." I take a breath. All of those words just spilled out of me before i could stop them. Adam doesn't react and I begin to panic. Did I say to much?

"I fell in love with you my little Maxie. No one can explain how or why and I think that's beautiful." I'm surprised at what he had said. Once I process the words, my heart flutters and beats quick, my chest tightens and restricts my breathing. I have never felt this before but somehow, I like it. I go to kiss Adam again but before I can, my walkie talkie goes off.
