Megan downed the shot, tears running down her face as she stared at the marble countertop. She bit down on her trembling lip, she was now truly alone. She grabbed the glass bottle throwing it against the refrigerator, she watched it shatter, Matthew stood at the front door, he been standing there for almost twenty minutes. Raising his fist he gently knocked on the door.
Megan ignored it, her chest heaving in and out as she began to grab things in the kitchen throwing it. Slamming glass plates against the wall she cried loudly, Matthew sighed squatting down grabbing the key from under the mat.
Opening the door, his eyes widen. "Woah! Megan?!". He shouted not seeing her in the kitchen. "Megan!". He screamed running up the stairs. He looked at the light on in the bathroom. Running to the door, it was locked. "Hey! Open the door". He shouted banging on it.
Four barked loudly didn't help his nerves, sighing he stood back before running knocking the door off the hinges. He immediately gazed on the bottle of pills she was struggling to open, "Megan stop". He screamed grabbing her arm she roughly pushed him. "I-I want to be with my mommy". She cried finally opening the cap of pills. Matthew tackled her to the ground, landing on his back he winced as he wrapped his arms around Megan. She fought in hold, she dropped the bottle the many pills spilling out onto the bathroom floor.
She broke down turning to cry into his shoulder, he wrapped his arms around her closing his eyes. His heart broke as he listen to her soft cries. "S-she left me". She choked out as he rubbed her back. "Megan, hey breath for me". He said softly sitting up. She opened her eyes gazing into his, he wiped her tears before pushing her hair behind her.
"W-why couldn't you just let me go with my momma". She screamed before striking him in the chest, Matthew eyes widen before he grabbed her fist holding them.
"I-I fucking hate you! Why why! I need to be with her". She cried, her face red as veins popped out her neck. He wrapped his arms around her. "Because I love you". He softly said holding her face in his hands. Megan bit down on her trembling lip, both of them gazing into each other eyes. Megan hiccuped wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Matthew". She softly said, he leaned in kissing her tear away. "I-I love you too, please don't leave me". He looked into her eyes nodding. "I promise".
I had about four chapters wrote, but they disappeared so I'm pressed and this chapter is half ass and I'm sorry. I'm about to have the updates rolling up again
