Chapter 9: The man in the yellow suit

Hey everyone
So I finally finished on my other account and I'm back on my Nora story
So here we go

My name is Barry Allen and I'm the fastest man alive. When I was child I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder.
" Run Barry run." Henry says.
Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world I'm an ordinary forensic scientist. But secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day I'll find who killed my mother.
" Mom." Barry says.
And get justice for my father. I am The Flash.

Previously on the Flash
" It's a honeymoon and a honeymoon isn't a honeymoon without Mai tais." Caitlin tells Ronnie.
" Ronnie." Caitlin screams.
" I can't let whatever happened." Ronnie says.
" I wanted him to be my husband." Caitlin tells Barry.
" I have watched you be in love with Iris since you were old enough to know what the word love is." Joe tells Barry.
" He killed my mom." Barry tells Wells.

A day into the future , Nora and Barry are chasing the Reverse Flash down the streets of Central City.

One day earlier

" There's only two boxes left." Joe says.
" You know at this rate, we'll be finished by Easter." Barry says.
" Don't even." Joe says.
Then Barry super speeds and hangs the decorations.
" Okay, the only red suited dude I want in this house right now is Kris Kringle, you got it?" Joe asks.
Then Barry super speeds again and removes the decorations before Iris shows up from the kitchen.
As Iris is coming out, Nora enters the West House.
" Hey mom, dad Papa Joe." Nora says as she plops herself on the sofa.
" These ornaments are not gonna hang themselves. Grandma Esther's recipe. Light on the bourbon." Iris says as she gives a glass each to Joe and Barry.
" Uh, mom can I have?" Nora asks.
" Yeah, sure there's some on the kitchen platform." Iris says as she sits down.
Then Joe gets a call
" And the Christmas tradition continues. Detective West yeah. All right. Sorry kids, the DA wants to ask me some questions. Make sure there's some nog for me when I get back." Joe says.
" No promises." Barry says softly to no one in particular.
" Nora,are you there?" Iris asks as she has a worried look on her face.
" Yeah. I'm coming." Nora says.
Then Iris lowers the volume on the remote and takes Barry's nog out of his hand as he sits on the floor.
" What's happening?" Barry asks.
" Hey. Come on." Iris says as she pulls him down.
" Come on. We're already doing this? Christmas isn't for a few days." Barry tells her.
" I couldn't wait any longer."Iris says.
Iris gives him a box and then says
" Wait, me first."
Iris then opens a box with a necklace inside.
" My mother's wedding band?" Iris asks.
" A replica, yeah. You were devastated when you lost the real one." Barry says.
" Our fifth grade field trip to the zoo." Iris says.
" To the zoo. Yeah. You cried for weeks. Here." Barry says taking it and doing it for Iris.
" Oh mom it's beautiful." Nora says when she finally sees it.
" I don't know what to say." Iris says as she hugs Barry.
" My gift sucks so much in comparison." Iris says as Barry opens his gift to find a microscope.
" No." Barry says.
" It's supposed to be the best one on the market. I thought maybe you could use a new one. Its lame, I know." Iris says.
" No, no this is great. I love it." Barry says.
" Yeah?" Iris asks.
"Yeah, of course." Barry says.
Iris goes to open the door and Eddie is at the door.
" Hey babe. Hey Barry. Nice ring." Eddie says.
" It's beautiful, isn't it. It's an exact replica of my mom's. Barry got it for me." Iris tells Eddie.
" Oh that's very thoughtful bare." Eddie says.
" So are we tree trimming?" Iris asks.
"Yeah, come on." Eddie says.
Later in STAR Labs
" Merry Christmas. Just a small token of my gratitude. " Barry says.
" Aww." Caitlin says.
" I think I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say you've been a gift for us, Barry." Wells says.
" What's that?" Caitlin asks.
" This is compliments of Iris. Grandma Esther's famous eggnog. " Barry says.
" That's what I'm talking about." Cisco says.
" Maybe later for me. Wouldn't want to drink and drive." Wells says.
" Did I say something wrong?" Barry asks suddenly.
" No." Caitlin says.
" No, man. He um this used to be his favourite time of the year but the accident happened so kind of ruined the holidays." Cisco says.
" I'm gonna get him a present. Maybe that'll cheer him up. Thank yiu very much." Caitlin says as she leaves the room.
" Yeah." Barry says.
" Hey where's Nora?" Cisco suddenly asks.
" Oh last I saw her she was at the West house drinking eggnog. Now I'm not exactly sure." Barry tells him.
" Barry, what's your problem?" Cisco asks.
" I know I have to keep an eye on her. I figured she would follow me here." Barry says and he says that Nora enters the cortex.
" Hey Cisco." Nora says as she goes to sit down.
" So what are you doing for Christmas, Cisco?" Barry asks.
