Chapter Three: Maya's Might
Day 3 1:00 pm
Maya's POV
I ran. I just kept running. I slammed into something. Someone. Terra. My hand raced to the buckle that had my duel blade hooked onto it. Just as I was about to slit her throat I heard screams.

My head shot in that direction. I saw my fellow Careers being sucked in by quicksand. "Don't struggle, you wont sink fast if you don't struggle." I screamed at them. I stood up and went on towards my allies but looked back to see that Terra had gotten up.

I glanced over and saw someone else walking casually towards us. Did he notice us? I now went into a fast jog because Terra was catching up to me. I heard a shriek. Terra had been pulled upside down with her hands dangling below her.

A piece of rope pulled her feet up. This was my chance. I grabbed my duel blade and took a step closer to her. I screamed. A net with about fifty insects fell on top of me.

"Ew ew ew ew ew...." I shouted. I tried to get out but noticed that now, I too was upside down but the but the bugs were now multiplying every minute.

I heard a manly screech. That's the guy that was watching us. I guess. I pulled out one of my blades and started cutting at the rope. I broke through.

I got my body through and my head followed. I reached the ground. The only goodish thing that I noticed about my allies is that they were waist deep in the sand.

I took careful steps towards them. I reached out for one of thier hands. "Okay, everyone you have to keep your hands up. I will be back soon." I once again took careful steps and looked around. Where was that rope they used from earlier. I went to where I was trapped and noticed that now there were too people caught iin the traps.

I cut thier rope and set them free only because I knew they couldn't hurt me because they would be numb and dizzy.

I took the rope and threw it over a tree. I handed it over to one of my allies. I couldn't tell who it was because her hand was blocking her face.

She gripped tightly onto the rope and I went to the nearby tree.

I pulled and pulled and pulled. I couldn't get her out. I heard footsteps coming my way. I noticed that it was the guy who was caught in the trap and Terra.

They came over. "You saved our lives. We help you and them now and then we get back to normal as if we never had this incedint." I nodded.

They helped grip the rope and pulled. We got the first person out. Now we gave the rope to Maya. We pulled and pulled. We got her out. We ran in opposite directions and began to play the game once again.
