Chapter Six: Marmite's Pain
Marmite's POV
Ouch. I was dropped suddenly onto a platform. Beach sand filled this platform. On the same looking platform next to me stood the girl from 12. Oh no wait. The girl from 11.
We looked at each other. the loudspeaker said, "Only one may survive. Here are your weapons. May the odds be ever in your favour." Throwing knives and maces were dropped down to where we stood. The girl shrugged at me. She bent down and grabbed a set of throwing knives. I however, was still trying to process what we had to do.
She lifted the knife and threw it at me. I slowly lifted my hand to the top of the ear where the knife caught me. I bent down to the throwing knives. I threw one at her. It missed. I took in a deep breath. I threw another one. It struck her in the left arm. She flinched and took some water from around her. A school of fish, that might I say, looked pretty rabid, swarm around her.
She however didn't notice. I jumped onto the nearby platform with my knives and mace. I jumped onto the platform she was standing on. Her head snapped toward mine. She threw a knife at me and it hit my shoulder blade. I threw three knives into the air and collapsed to the ground. She pounced on top of me. She stabbed me in my other shoulder. She screamed. She fell to the ground. I now noticed that two of my blades had stabbed her and her legs were left in the dreaded water. She now had bones as legs and knives as shoulders. She was dead, oh yah.
I won. A hovercraft lifted me and I was swarmed by doctors. Everything went black.
Sophie's POV
I was gasping from losing my legs. I knew I was going to die. My last thought was 'At least I'm not a killer', I smiled as the world dropped away.
