You were sitting in your room

It was your average Saturday afternoon

You had homework to do, but as usual, you were saving it for last minute

You decided to text your best friend, Zayn

You: Wanna come over? I’m bored!

Zayn: Sure! Give me ten minutes xx

You got up from your bed and walked into the bathroom to check your make up

You didn’t want to look messy around Zayn

Although Zayn was your best friend, you had feelings for him

Ever since 6th grade when he came to your school, you loved him

But you settled for being his best friend, and cried at home whenever he had a new girlfriend

Currently, Zayn was dating a girl in your Biology class

You didn’t see how he could like her

You knew it was mean to think these things, but you wanted Zayn for yourself

The thought of him with someone else made you depressed

But you couldn’t help smile when Zayn would tell you stories about his jealous girlfriends

This one demanded that he never come over to your house again

That one made it clear that she was not okay with him talking to you

Their jealousy made you happy

Made you realize that other people saw how close you and Zayn were

You checked your phone

Zayn should be here any minute

You walked down stairs and turned on the TV

You didn’t want Zayn to think that you were overly excited about a normal visit from him

You sat on the couch and waited

The doorbell finally rang

You got up to answer it

His beautiful eyes

His beautiful hair

His beautiful face

There was Zayn looking beautiful as always

You smilied at him and said hi

He said hi back and greeted you with a smile

You inhaled, smelling his cologne

Zayn: So what do you wanna do?

You: Umm, I don’t know? Maybe a movie?

Zayn: Sure! Can I pick?

You: Again? You always get to pick!
