"Stop drinking my soda!" Rizzo complained loudly.
An army of people dressed like superheros harshly shushed her.
We were sitting in an IMAX theatre watching some Marvel movie about a group of heroes, who don't really like each other, fighting together. I didn't really understand what was happening, but Zahvii was paying for me , so I didn't really care.
Rizzo was glaring at Zahvii while he just looked not to sorry about what happened. I was in between Raja (who was on James) and Zahvii while Luke sat on the outskirts, on the other side of Rizzo. I kind of felt bad, but he seemed to be intently watching the movie.
"Ri" Zhavii whispered at me.
I turned to look at him and noticed that I could see all of his features. It was pretty dark in the theatre and we were pretty high up. Plus the scene is one where they are in some warehouse. I narrowed my eyes thinking that I was just a split second thing, but I could see the shape of his nose, The colour of his hair, even the stubble growing on his chin.
Confused, I continued to stare at him until he said, "I don't think I'm going to close anytime soon. Frankly, I don't want to close".
I shot a furtive glance to Rizzo, who was still looking pissed about her drink, but appeared to be watching the movie. Raja on the other hand was fully invested in our conversation. I nodded my head towards the door and we all shuffled out into the hallway. Not without some strange looks from James and Rizzo and a weird kind of knowing look form Luke.
We made it into the hallway and just looked at each other. I noticed that they looked the same as they did in the theatre. Full detail. I rubbed my eyes and urged my thoughts to the far corners of my mind.
"So you don't want her?" The question came surprisingly from Raja.
"Of course not. She is just a filler, but is actually really nice and I wouldn't do that to her."
And that is why we are friends. He has integrity and care about people. He does have does have sex regularly, but at least he knows his boundaries.
Raja gave a frustrated sigh. "What the hell am I supposed to do about James then? He is basically Rizzo with a dick!"
Looking at them both really confused I watched both run their hands through their hair at the same time. Not that this hasn't happened before, but if they were going to argue I could have stayed in the theatre. Not like I would have watched the movie, but at least the chairs were comfy.
"Drop his ass then. He could be prince charming if he wants, he is not good enough." Zahvii suddenly said.
Here we go. Zahvii going ape shit with a brotherly act that rivalled a jealous boyfriend. He always ends up sounding super douchy, but with reason I guess.
"Then you have to drop Rizzo. We drive them home and never talk about this again." Raja said surprisingly diplomatic like
Usually this turns into a brawl. Sometimes with words, sometimes with physical violence. It depends on the day.
"Not right now. We are in the middle of a movie!" Zahvii exclaimed.
Rolling my eyes, I sighed, "Of course not now dumbass. We do it afterwards. And the both of you can't be dicks about this. Be as nice as you were before because they are still human beings, understand.
Zahvii snorted and Raja raised and eyebrow at me. They looked like they wanted to argue more, but submitted and nodded at me. Gesturing to the inside of the theatre, I let them walk ahead as I followed behind. I don't know why they both can be so difficult when it comes to this. They get so cranky in the evenings.
When we got back in the theatre there were explosions and things flying everywhere on the screen. Climbing back to my seat was especially difficult because every time something exploded, I jumped.
When I was close to my seat, an alien thing blew up on a car. i jumped and squeaked. Of course I was in front of Luke, who seemed to find real joy in my fear. Not thinking, I huffed and stuck my tongue out at him.
Let me tell you, I've never seen anyone drop a smile so quickly. His mouth was pressed tight and his green eyes shone clearly as day. He licked his lips and continued looking at me with that intense stare.
Genuinely scared I scared back to my seat.
Did I do something wrong? Did I breach a friend barrier before I was allowed access? Did I step on his foot? Are his eyes always that pretty?
Loud banging coming from the screen jarred out of my thoughts. There was a green, musclley, man-like thing smashing a ridiculously dressed man on the floor. To be honest, it was quite comical. Maybe I would enjoy the rest of the movie.
