the reason i, personally, have never shipped it is when clover explains his semblance to qrow. that shocked look qrow has isn't him falling in love. it's hurt and envy. because he sees a man who has been everything he hasn't. clover was born lucky, qrow is the opposite. it wasn't a shipping moment. no matter how good qrow is or can be, clover would always be better. he would always be more lucky.
