Alex and Noah couldn't take their eyes off each other. Few words were spoken as they both reminisced about last night. Life could change in a blink of an eye. This was a great change. They both understood their relationship would cause issues. Personally and professionally. At the end of the day they didn't give a damn what anyone had to say.

"Ouch. Why did you pinch me?" Alex said through her giggles.

"Just wanted to make sure this wasn't a dream."

"Aren't you supposed to pinch yourself though?"

"Oh, is that how it works? It must've slipped my mind." Noah said sarcastically.

Alex made Noah feel like he was a kid with a crush. He couldn't stop smiling or doing things to touch her.

"I almost forgot how beautiful you look in the morning after a night of passion."

"Well, I'm glad you gave me an opportunity to remind you."

Noah began playing in Alex's hair, "I hope you know it's a forever opportunity."

Alex kissed Noah on his forehead. "I'm gonna go jump in the shower."

  "You want company?"

"As if you need to ask."

Noah followed Alex into the bathroom. He wrapped his arms around her as they gazed into the mirror.

"Look at all this chocolate. Sweet. Savory and hot enough to melt anywhere." Noah placed a kiss on Alex's neck. She turned to face him.

"And I love every morsel of it." Alex leaned in to kiss him.  There was a knock on the door that made her pause.

  "DAMN.  Let's just ignore it."

  "What if it's important?"

"There's nothing more important than what's about to go down in here."

  "Noah."

"Aiight. Go ahead and get your sexy ass in the shower. I won't be long."

  "Better not."

Noah was on cloud nine. He grabbed his robe as he walked to the door. He didn't bother to check his security camera. The only person who was bold enough to show up at his house this early in the morning unannounced was his father. Noah opened the door.

"Hey." She said with a smile.

"Um, what's up? What are you doing here?"

Megan was the last person Noah expected to be at his door.  Megan and Noah didn't end on the best of terms so, it was baffling that she was at his door step.

"I know I should've called first but I needed to see you."

Noah gave her a confused look. He still didn't understand why she was there. The last thing Noah needed was for Alex to see his ex.  He knew all too well how Alex responded to disrespect from other women.

"I miss you. I feel bad about the way things ended with us. I know I shouldn't have left you but..."

Noah cut her off, "Megan, I wasn't in the best place back then. I don't blame you for what you had to do for you. I don't."

Noah was well aware that Megan didn't get the best version of himself. Even though he wasn't drinking, taking pain pills led to an addiction. Noah was only focused on mending relationships that served a purpose in his life. Megan also gave him an ultimatum about cutting communication off with Alex. When Noah refused, that was the final nail in the coffin for her. Noah's inability to get over Alex caused issues in his relationship with Megan. He did love Megan while they were together but Alex always had his heart
