DEMI P.O.V.: I received the 3rd Nick's call and left my phone on the table sighing.

Maybe I should take the call, what if something bad happened? Yea sure

I walked to the kitchen and drank a lot of water to calm myself. Of course I wanted to reply to Nick but I couldn't. It was better for him to be without me.

I spent about a week there alone and made a friend called Tara that lived next to my cabin. We would spend the whole afternoons together and we told each other our stories. I found out that she was a girl that was there waiting for her girlfriend to go and live there with her, cause both their families didn't approve them being together and so...she left and found a cabin in the middle of nowhere to live with the love of her life that was currently traveling to Colorado by car from New Jersey so no one could find her following her steps.

Tara: what about you? I've told you everything about the love of my life and you never talked bout your love life (I swallowed)

Demi: I think I'm not good at love

Tara: but there's always someone to talk about when it comes to love

Demi: you know how things ended between me and my last long term boyfriend (I said chuckling and she shook her head)

Tara: but I'm sure there's another person in your life that you've felt deep things for...we're all made to love (I smiled slightly and nodded)

Demi: I guess it can be called love even tho I never experienced with him

Tara: with him, huh? Who was him?

Demi: my best friend (I said and drank coffee)

Tara: your best friend...I love that kind of stories

Demi: it's not a typical one tho. I dated his brother around a decade ago

Tara: you did? And then you started liking the other brother?

Demi: I think so (I said and bit my lips smiling)

Tara: what made you love him?

Demi: that he never left me nor doubted about me. Like...he always thought I could do anything for me cause I was strong, and he also was constantly taking care of me, even if he would end hurt, he would protect me

Tara: at any cost?

Demi: at any cost

Tara: he loved you a lot then

Demi: we were best friend so I think he did (she laughed)

Tara: I think he loved you more than that if I can be honest

Demi: more than that?

Tara: Demi, you don't do that kind of things for someone you don't love completely. Anyways, why aren't you together? Or trying?

Demi: he was the friend I left when I came here

Tara: why did you do that?

Demi: I told you before...he deserves to be happier and safe and he won't be with me there

Tara: did he try to find you?

Demi: (I nodded after sighing) he has been calling me once a day

Tara: and you haven't replied? (I shook my head) I think you're making a mistake

Demi: I can't put him in danger

Tara: you can't leave him alone neither when he's clearly worried for you

Demi: I can't see him again nor talk to him again...cause I won't be able to walk away if I do

Tara: and what if you don't walk away? What would happen? I don't think that's a bad thing (I looked to my cup and sighed)

She is right and I know it.
