How Does A Moment Last Forever? (Skylux)

Part 4: New Hires and new friends.

Kylo Ren's Point of View:

The next morning, as planned at 0800 hours, my brothers and Rey arrived bang on schedule. Leona was already up and at em, ready to show the newbies around. So was Sky. Rey smiles at Vice General Kenobi, and she shyly smiled back at Rey. Cancerians like her are easy to get on with. She's very down-to-earth. Well I'm heading to the command bridge to meet with Lieutenant Mikata... Sorry I didn't explain why my brothers are here. Leona will explain.

Vice General Leona Kenobi's Point of View:

I began to start the tour with the new hires, Ben Solo, Rey, Matt Solo and Randy Solo. Whilst on the tour... One of the Solo brothers furiously blushed at the sight of me, is he blushing because of an instant attraction to me? If it is, I find it really adorable. He's a very handsome young man, and I think I'm feeling it as well... His eyes are like warm milk chocolate... 'wait, what am I saying? Am I really attracted to him?' I thought. I shook off the thought and continued to give the new hires a tour. So I finish the tour, and Kylo commed me to direct them to the hallway where the Supreme Leader has his living quarters, I am in the same hallway and give his brothers and Rey rooms directly across the hall from him. So before I head to my living quarters, I saw that Hux, Kylo and Sky were seeing what Randy Solo was up to. He sneaks a photo of Ben Solo into my uniform pocket. "Did you see what Randy done there, Kylo?" Sky asks, and Hux and Kylo nod their heads in reply.

Captain Sky Skywalker's Point of View:

I saw what Randy Solo did there. He was a sneaky son of a gun, sliding his brother's photograph into Leona's uniform pocket. I guide Leona to her room, and went back to mine, Hux and Kylo's shared quarters, and I hear them whisper to Ben softly.

I need some time with my handsome Supreme Leader and his first general. With Millicent of course. So Kylo and Hux joined me and we started talking to each other.

Randy Solo's Point of View:

I saw Ben blushing, could it be? He found our tour guide of the Starkiller Base is pretty, she's a Vice General. I think we might try to talk him into asking her to be his girlfriend.

"Ben, dude seriously, if you like her, ask her out..." I say, Matt follows that with "seriously, Ben, you're hopeless. But Randy is right, if you really like her, and want to get to know her better, ask her. You'll feel better about it." Kylo joins us, and he says, "you're the gentleman out of us all, try to be brave and ask her out, I think she may have feelings for you as well." All Ben could do was nod, and he heads for his room to calm down. As Ben did so, Matt asks Kylo something, which will be revealed in my brother's point of view. I think we can all be friends, in my opinion, Ben deserves to be with a beautiful girl like Leona.

Matt Solo's Point of View:

I walked over to my brother, Kylo, intrigued to learn about Leona and her hobbies. I asked him, "Kylo, dear brother..." Kylo turns around and replies, "yeah, Matt, what do you need bro?" I replied "Kylo, outside her work within the base, what are her hobbies and interests?" Kylo replies, "she's an artist, singer, poet, baker and chef. She also loves gaming." I nodded and thank my brother and went to rewire a calcinator. Leona is so beautiful, sweet and tough... How is she not in a stable relationship yet?

I wonder how Ben is holding up... I looked in on him, he sitting in silence, meditating and trying to stay calm... So I left him to meditate. Poor guy. He is so in love with her... Even I can tell.

Vice General Leona Kenobi's Point of View:

Later that night, I was gonna paint something, but, then I realized that I have a subject for my next artwork masterpiece... Randy Solo snuck a photo of his brother, Ben, into my turncoat pocket. And the photo was with his blue lightsabre as a young Padawan learner. He looked so cute. My cute little fluffball, Vader watched me as I recreated the photo as an art piece. I also realized that I did have feelings for Ben. So this is going to Ben as a gift for him. But to accompany the painting... I should write such a beautiful note in my most beautiful calligraphy he will ever see in his life.

A few hours later, I completed the art and laminated it and framed it. The finished product below. I have a great hunch he's going to love it.

I wrote the note next. Here's what I wrote...

"Ben, I drew this for you, I can feel the instant attraction between us, and yeah, I feel the same way about you, would you like to my boyfriend? This portrait was done for you, out of love. Please be mine, I love you Ben. - Leona" my words should be heartfelt enough... Now to send the portrait to him... But whom should I send it to his quarters with? Ah. I know... Little Vader should.

I call little Vader over and I asked him, "for a treat, little guy, would you like to send this to Ben across the hall? You've seen him as he saw you earlier. Scratch his door and surprise him." Vader pounced on my knee and licked me as a yes, and I tied the framed artwork of Ben on his back with a velvet ribbon, and slid the note on the picture and he hops put my quarters and found Ben's quarters easy. He scratches his door, and Ben saw the fluffball Vader and ushered him in.

Ben Solo's Point of View:

Vice General Kenobi's little puppy came to my door bearing gifts... I saw such a beautiful drawing of me on his back so I took the drawing from his back carefully, and I saw that it was me from my younger days as a Padawan learner. It was so beautifully drawn too.

But it didn't stop there... There was a handwritten note with it.... So I read it. It reads...

"Ben, I drew this for you, I can feel the instant attraction between us, and yeah, I feel the same way about you, would you like to my boyfriend? This portrait was done for you, out of love. Please be mine, I love you Ben. - Leona"

The note was so heartfelt that I hadn't noticed that I have started to softly cry at her words, she's such a wordsmith and I need to show my affection to her in return for that beautiful artwork she sent me with Vader. I sat with Vader and he licked my tears away. And he left, and I fell asleep still silently crying, I laid with the note next to my heart all night long. She does have feelings for me.... I was right all along.
