Prison

I can't eat,
I can't sleep,
There is a prison all around me.

When I try to take a step ahead,
There are shackles that pull me back.

I see people go by from my prison cell,
But there's a difference between us, I can tell.

When people see me they get scared and shaken,
I scream to tell them I am just mistaken.

There is a darkness in my heart,
But there is love in my soul,
There is poison in my veins,
And the light is trapped inside in chains.

I count the days till I get out of here,
Then I remember this prison is made of my fears.
