More than a week had passed, the time for knowing the truth was drawing near.

"So, you are meeting her here today." Marcus asked, watching his friend intently, as they both stood in his apartment.

"That is correct," He stated firmly, "I'm not in the mood to be out in public or the office."

"As difficult as it may seem, I understand where you are getting at, as the time is drawing near, you need to be in a private setting to deal with the outcome." Marcus spoke, agreeing with Luca's choice of venue.

"Yeah..." Luca responded, only to stop when there was a knock at the door, "She is here." He stated without much enthusiasm.

Marcus nodded his head, patting his friend on the shoulder, "I wish you luck my friend, you are going to need it." He spoke, making his way to the entrance, opening the door and greeting Luca's visitor, leaving the two adults to sort out their problems in private.

For Luca, while he watched his friend open the door, the time of reckoning had been sealed, the moment he caught the scent filtering through to him, he knew without a doubt, that she was carrying his pup.

"Hello, Luca." She greeted, her voice low and husky, "I came as you requested."

Luca remained firmly in his spot, staring at her intently and somewhat shocked at the turn of events. His mind and body, splitting into two, his wolf howling in happiness, chanting the word mate constantly in his head and his body reacting with lust as she neared him.

Shaking himself out of his daze, "How are you Jade?" He greeted, his voice and tone, low and husky, "Or perhaps I should just get straight to the point and ask why you left my bed in the early hours of that morning." He asked, staring at her, watching as she froze in her spot, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"You..." She stuttered, fear coursing through her body, unable to say anything else or defend herself.

Luca sighed slightly in disappointment, "Why didn't you say anything?" He asked her, "For a whole week, you continued as normal, as if something so monumental hadn't happened."

Coming out of her stupor, she walked past him into the lounge, gazing out of the window for a moment, composing herself, as she felt his eyes boring into the back of her head, taking in a deep breath, she turned around and glared at him, "What about you...?" She argued back, "You walked past me that day as if I didn't even exist."

Luca knew the reasons for his state of mind that day, sighing in defeat, "Please let's talk about this calmly, I am not here to fight with you." He spoke lowly, "I am as much to blame for the situation, I might not remember all the details, but I sure as hell saw the evidence in the daylight."

Jade flushed in embarrassment, coming to the realization that Luca didn't remember much about that evening.

"What do you mean by evidence?" She asked him unsurely, wondering what she had forgotten in her haste to leave the room, frowning in concentration.

Luca gave her a soft smile, "The fact that you were a virgin." He stated calmly, watching as she turned a light shade of red, her gaze dropping to the ground.
