At first Luca was confused, then a raging jealousy coursed through his body, as he watched his mate run into the arms of his old mentor and friend, he growled in disapproval, stepping forward and grabbing Jade's arm, pulling her towards him, glaring at the man, ready to tear his throat out.

"Luca, why didn't you tell me, that you invited my father here!" Jade asked excitedly, unaware of the tension surrounding him.

Luca blinked, confused and surprised at his mate's exclamation, looking first at Jade and then to his old friend, frowning darkly, at the smirk the old man had on his face, "Your father...?" He asked, again staring at an excited Jade, "I thought your father was dead..." He spoke somewhat crudely, wincing internally at his tone.

Jade waved her hands, shrugging her shoulders, "Pft..." She snorted out, "Semantics...Dan is my foster parent, he took me in when nobody else would." She stated out truthfully, still smiling at the old man.

Needing a moment to compose himself, he held Jade in his arms, her back to his front, inhaling her scent to calm himself, glaring at the still smirking old man, standing before them, "Does she know...?" He growled out, asking Dan directly, watching him intently, as Dan smirk turned into a full-blown smile.

"She sure was a rebellious teenager when I first caught her on my territory," Dan began, smiling at the memories, "Time after time she came back, no matter how many times I threatened her, she just wouldn't give up. She wore me down, even my wolf caved. Finally I took her in and set her on the right path." Smiling as Jade glared at him playfully, giving her a wink, "Eventually...she caught on that we were werewolves, she was always so inquisitive, had to make her take the oath, making her promise to keep our secret." He continued, sticking to the facts.

Shaking his head, Luca turned her around to face him, cupping her face, "You know about werewolves...?" He asked her, gazing at her smiling face.

Jade darted her eyes to Dan and at his nod, she glanced back at Luca, shrugging her shoulders, "Yeah...it wasn't my place or secret, to mention that I knew about werewolves." She spoke sincerely, "Besides, I would probably be in the looney bin, if I ever mentioned that I believed that werewolves existed."

"So, you realize that you are amongst a majority of werewolves?" Mara asked, standing next to Dan, a smile on her face.

Nodding her head, she gazed back at her friend, smiling back at her, "I kind of figured that, the moment I saw my Dad." She stated calmly.

"Well, let's not just stand here." Carina, Luca's mother spoke, eventually recovering from the shock, "Let's get inside and down to business." She remarked, quirking her eyebrow at her son.

Luca flushed at the slight reprimand, growling lowly under his breath, as he took Jade's hand and led her into his home, followed by everyone else, dreading the task ahead.

Reaching the large lounge, he sat down on the couch, placing Jade on his lap, glaring as everyone took a seat.

Jade blushed, as she noticed that they were the center of everyone's avid attention, "Well, this is awkward..." She began, staring back at everyone, noticing the smirks on their faces.

Turning her headslightly, hoping that Luca would help, she blinked at the fierce glare he hadon his face, staring straight at everyone, the look on his face, daring anyoneto say anything.
