For the love of cosplay

Hol-mat here we come

I was driving to my best friend's house to pick her up. That way we could be on our way down to Orlando for a con that my group was invited to do a panel at.

"Let's head to Hol-mat" my best friend said as she put her camera bag and photography stuff in the back of my car and got in. The two panels that my group were doing was a book no hero panel and a inuyasha panel. I was taking my best friend because we were wanting to have a trip for just us to go on and she also had to do a senior project for her photography class. "You ready for the 7 hour drive to Orlando" I said to her has she got settled in her seat. "Yea thanks for letting me ride with you." she said.

"No problem I needed my best friend for my pictures and it is also a good opportunity for you to get a ton of material for your photography project." I said to her while I focused on the road. "Yep I'm just glad my professor let us choose our own topic to photograph." she said. "I'm so excited for hol-mat."

7 hours later
"Finally we are here let's go check in" I said to my friend Hannah. "okay sounds good" Hannah said as we walked into the lobby to check in "Hello, how can I help you" one of the receptionist at the desk asked. "Hi I am here to check in to my room" I said as I got my ID and confirmation number for our room out of my purse. "What's the name on the reservation" she asked. "Zenith Stone" I said as she nodded. While she was looking up our reservation I look around the lobby and to the side of me another receptionist was helping a group of four girls that looks really tired from traveling. The receptionist said "The room with two beds are all taken up, I'm sorry.'

(I know they were probably already have a room booked ahead of time if they knew they were going to the con but for this story just go with it)

"What seriously I told you guys we should have booked early" a short blond said "here is the key to your room" the lady said to me getting my attention. "Hey I know we booked a room with two beds in it but is there may be a way for you to give them the two beds and give us a room with one bed we don't mind. They have four people say they probably need two beds more than we do." I said as I recognized them as akrcos, inspectorlemon, and Nikki and Rachel of mishkali some of the most famous cosplayers in the cosplay world. "Also please don't tell them that it was our room before. You can just say that there was something like a glitch in the system." I added looking to the receptionist "okay let me tell my coworker, Mal can I speak with you for a minute. By the way here are your keys to your new room" she said to us well saying the last part quietly. "Thank you so much" I said as I grabbed a cart to unload our stuff from my car. We got almost everything on to the card there about two suitcases we had to roll ourselves. I told Hannah to wait while I parked the car. As I got back to Hannah she was talking on the phone with her mom and dad telling them that we had arrived in Orlando and at the hotel safely "okay we will be careful love you guys." she said as I approached her. "Ready to go to the room I'm tired and I want to get some sleep before the big day tomorrow." I explained. 

Just as we were walking inside the four girls came out to unload their car. As they were walking by I overheard them talking about the situation that had just happened. "I can't believe they had a room for us." Nikki said amazed. "Yeah and that they had a glitch in their system which that is weird right." Liz said. I let out a small smile across my face as I heard the conversation. As we got to the elevator and waited for it to go up as it came to the lobby it opened. When we entered the elevator we heard behind us "Hey can you hold the door." someone said for behind us. I held the door as the for girls that we saw earlier arrived at the elevator yeah sure I said holding the elevator door for them "Thanks." Amanda said while looking at me. I blush nervously and looked away "No problem, what floor are you guys on." Hannah said helping me out a little bit. "Oh, we are on floor 5." Liz said as she was looking at the key to the room.  "Oh really, well lucky us we are on 5 as well. I'm Hannah this is my best friend Zenith." Hannah said introducing herself as she push the fifth floor button on the elevator. "So you guys here for the con." Rachel asked "Yes, actually Zenith has two panels and I'm just here as photography. I take all of her pictures for her sets." she explain to them. "Really that is awesome. What panels we will have to come see you." Liz said excited. "Sure if you guys want but you guys probably have stuff that you guys want to do. The panels are a my hero Academia genderbent panel and an Inuyasha panel." I said scared to look at them. "Wow, we will defiantly have to come see you" Nikki said.

*Ding*
We arrived on our floor as we got out we all noticed that we all were walking in same direction as each other. Well it turned out that our rooms were right next to each others. Liv made the comment "looks like we are right next to each other isn't that a coincidence." looking between the two rooms. "Yeah that is." Hannah said as I put the key into the lock and open the door. Hannah was outside in the hallway still talkin to Rachel and Nikki while I started to unload the car. "Well we should probably get some sleep for tomorrow" Amanda said while looking at me  "Yeah sounds good to me." Nikki agreed with her "See you guys in the morning maybe." Hannah said "Night have a good nigh" I said quickly going into the room. While in the room I started to panic thinking to myself 'Did I really just meet Amanda and Liz the people I have watched and look up to my whole life.' After calming down a little bit I started getting ready for bed. Changing into my sleep clothes, brushing my teeth and plug my phone into the charger. I get into bed and slowly close my eyes and fell asleep after a long and tiring day.

Morning
I got up before my alarm and I decided to go to Starbucks and get coffee for Hannah and it refresher for me as I walked out of our room I grabbed the key to the door off the table when I stepped out into the hallway the door next to our room opened up I did not want this to happen this morning I started walking to the elevator as I got a little further from my door I heard my name being called "Zenith hello how are you this morning" I stopped and turned to see live in Amanda coming down the hall way towards me "oh hi I'm good how are you guys today" I said awkwardly looking down.
