...."I can't make that decision, I'm sorry. I know it's hard for you but I'm not like I was before, I know how to control it now," Seunghyun said.
"That's what you said last time, but it came right back. What about San? He should be your priority," she angrily replied.
"He is, you are, but fighting is my passion and I just can't live without having both."
"Then I'm sorry but I have to leave, I just... I can't do this anymore..." she whispered.
"What? You can't leave, I won't let you take San from me," his voice roared.
"If you won't quit the league then I have no other choice, you are doing this to yourself. It's not just me you're losing." She knelt to the floor, kissing an infant San who was sitting in his rocker.
Tears flowed from her eyes and she turned down the hallway to leave, not looking back.
"Sung-Kyung please.." he called out, but there was no response as the door shut....
"It's not just me you're losing..."
A thunderous, heavy rain poured down on the arena as they followed Sung-Kyung into the parking garage. The fights were still going on inside and the main event had yet to take place which left them (somewhat) alone beneath the concrete pillars.
"Sung-Kyung, stop! You can't just leave again after showing up like this and telling me I have another son." Seunghyun bellowed.
She spun on her heels at his words, tears dampening her skin and neck.
"What do you want me to say Seung? I never wanted this. You think it was easy for me to watch him grow up every day and ask where his dad was? Trying to explain to him why he was the only one in his class on parents day with only one parent?"
"Do not try to blame me for your actions," he snapped at her.
San looked over to Jongho who had wrapped his still gloved fists around himself, staring at the ground. His eyes were hollow, lost in his own head as he stood by.
"None of it mattered though, because he found his way to you anyway," she shrugged her shoulders in a defeated manner.
"He's looked up to you for years, wanting to be just like you, his 'idol'. The only reason I agreed to let him fight was because he was so...pure. I knew he didn't have that same darkness I saw in you."
Sung-Kyung stepped towards Jongho, reaching out her hand to his. He wrapped his arms tighter, moving away.
"Jong, please," she whispered, more tears brought on by his reluctance.
"Is that why you didn't come back for me? Because you knew I would be dark too?" San asked suddenly making her turn to him.
"No, of course not. San......I- I wanted to come back so many times. When we returned from the states I tried to visit you, but I...I just couldn't." she explained.
Wooyoung sat silently by San's side, he had become stoic and unresponsive as he watched it all take place.
"I have dreams about that day....the day you left. I dream about it all the time. Seeing you leave without even being able to remember what your face looked like was the worst part." San muttered to her.
"It wasn't just your dad that was affected by his blackouts, I was too. His attitude changed, not only in the ring, but at home as well. When they started again after we got married I knew I couldn't stay. How long would it be before he lost his control with me? Or worse, you?"
