"That's not true!" Alex stutters angerily.
I stare at them, raising an eyebrow.
"Fine.. Your'e right." Alex sighs in defeat.
I toss a sharpened stick to them, as I motion them to follow. Alex nearly drops the harpoon, and stumbles after me.
Several days pass, and I teach Alex basic survival skills, and soon have them helping with basic shelter maintence. I find having another person around is pleasant. Alex and I split the work. I do most of the hunting, skinning, and exploring while Alex does the gathering, mending, and cooking. Alex is great company as well. One night Alex is fixing a broken bow. "Hey Kyra, do you remember Earth?" Alex stops to look at me. "Earth? I don't really remember much, just some random memories with no obvious links." I sigh.
Alex begins to tell me the history of the planet's demise. How it was before the devastion, and How it was during the devastion, all the way to now.
