Scared To Let Them Go

Dear God
I'm scared
Of what might appear
When my only friends, finally disappear

Please save me the pain
I'm so sick of it
You've put me through enough
Now I'm afraid of myself

I can't keep pretending
That I'm actually okay
Cuz those I love are moving away

How much more
Do you think I can take
Till I finally decide suicide is the way

Every night I cry
Not noticed by you
Caught by the darkness
That consumed me too

Don't you see God
I'm tired of life
Scared of myself
And afraid to fight

Not knowing what might happen Breaks me apart
Cause relying on them
Helped me understand a lot

They saved me from myself
Cause I decided not to stay
Removing myself
Cause no one would break, okay?

Maybe that's what I thought
When I decided
I was not, worthy of being alive
Cause I'm only a broken thought

I never thought to think
Maybe someone understands me
I never thought to ask
Will you try to stop me?

I never gave a chance
To let someone in
Not until the day
That they told me to live

Set yourself free
Don't let others be, petty or rude
Cause they don't even know you

Maybe you should look
In a mirror, cause your worth
Ain't something that anyone can decide, with just one look

Just embrace you
Don't fret over them fools
Cause those who bash on you
Ain't worth a glance from you

Because you are beautiful
Just the way you are
Those who say your not
Are just caught being petty
Cause their jealousy is showing
Through those words that do hurt you
But don't let them know
Because their so not worth it

Just know I am here
And your worthy in my eyes
If that's not enough
Then I'll say it a million times

Maybe thats the day
I realized I'd be okay
Because I did have people
Who cared about me
More than I ever knew

So I'm asking, why?
Why did you let them leave?
What did I ever do
To make you take them from me?
