Dipper and Ford

Summer has come to an end. Mabel and Dipper has turned 14 and they are in a new grade. 8th grade in fact. Today is the 12th day of school but dispite that school has just started Dipper was already tired out about school. To him this seemed like it was the 900th day of school. He hasn't been sleeping that much since school started. At night he tosses and turns in his bed, feeling great envy of his sister's ability to sleep. His lack of sleep makes it feel like the days are longer. How he hasn't collasped from exhaustion is beyond him. He guesses it was because he keeps falling asleep in class. He has already been scolded by each of his teachers for falling asleep. Mabel has been a witness to a few of them. Mabel is aware that her brother hasn't been able to sleep at night therefore making him sleep during the day. He basically has a vampire's sleep pattern. If it's light outside it was time to sleep. If it was dark out then it was time to be awake. Today seems to be the day he's most tired. Mabel had to keep her brother from falling off his bed while he was dozing of from just sitting there this morning. Eventually Dipper was able to get up and get ready although not without stumbling around and his sister having to help him put his shirt on the right way and not backwards. Dipper wasn't sure if his uncles have noticed his groggy state in the mornings. How could they not notice. They haven't asked yet. Maybe they both have gone blind. Dipper's lack of sleep has made him get into trouble with his uncles for having a bad attitude. No way was Dipper gonna make it through the school day. He was gonna get yelled at by all his teachers all day if he goes and he was not in the mood. His uncles won't let him skip unless he was sick and he knew that. So he had a plan. He would go on the bus and when they get to school he would sneak off school grounds to the Gravity Falls lake. They had recently built a new shed there and it still stood empty so he figured it would be a great place to stay until school got out. When Mabel was out of their room Dipper packed a thin blanket to lay on and a small pillow. He was obviously going to sleep his whole time in the shed. He would set a alarm on his phone to wake him up when school lets out. Ford and Stan sent the kids on the bus giving them a kiss on the forehead before they got on. In 20 minutes after several more stops they reached the school. Dipper got off and looked for his chance to run off. He noticed the teachers outside weren't paying attention and no buses were comimg up the road. There was his chance. He took off down the hill as fast as he could. He reached the bottom where he would be out of sight to anyone at the school. Nobody seemed to have seen him. He was free! He snuck his way around the town and made it to the lake. He saw the shed which was not locked to his surprise. He gone in only leaving the doors open to where only a crack of light got in but it wouldn't be easy to tell it was open. He opened his backpack, layed out the blanket, put down the pillow and set an alarm on his phone.  He layed down feeling like he accomplished the impossiable. He soon fell asleep unware that his stunt had a few flaws to it.

At the shack, the phone rings and Ford answers it. It was the school's absent system and to Ford's confusion it had told him that Dipper was marked absent. He knew for a fact that Dipper got on the bus. How could he slip away so easy? Ford's first thought was that it was a mistake so he called the school and the school told him the Dipper hadn't shown up for his first period class. Ford was confused but more worried than anything. "Stanley!" Ford yelled. "Yes?" Stan yelled back. "Can you come here please?" Ford asked. "Yeah. Where are you?" Stan said. "I am in the kitchen. Come quickly this is important." Ford answered. In a few Minutes Stan appeared in the kitchen entrance. "What's so important?" Stan questions walking in. "I just got a call from the school saying that Dipper isn't at school." Ford informs. "What?" was all Stan could say. "Apparently Dipper didn't show up to his first period class which means he's been marked absent." Ford added. "I know for a fact that Dipper got on the bus with Mabel. No way in hell he was able to sneak past us." Stan said. "He must've ran off when he got to school. Out of the two kids, Dipper wasn't one I thought would ditch school." Ford said. "Stanford, we don't know where he is. He could be hurt or gotten kidnapped. We gotta find him." Stan said starting to panic. "Calm down Stanley. I will call the police to search for him and then we will get in the car and do our own searching. I'm sure he's fine. Dipper's a smart kid even though it wasn't smart for him to skip school. He knows what to do when he's in danger." Ford explained. "Call the cops. I will be waiting in the car." Stan said as he put on his shoes. Stan gone out the door as Ford was dialing the number for the poice station. Ford gave them every detail they wanted. His height, hair color, eye color,What Dipper was wearing, and so on. He was able to get off the phone and rushed out to the car positive that Stan was getting more worried by the minute. They drove off shortly after to search themselves.
