Chapter 2

- Melanie's pov -

I walk in the front door. I drop my bag in the hallway and go straight to my room. I start sobbing, I don't really know why I was just so caught up with what happened. "Hey baby what's going on?" Zoe asked with a concerned voice. I told her everything leaving out the detail about smoking at lunch since I didn't wanna fight with her. "Aw baby, but do you like him?"I didn't know what to say. "Uh yeah maybe a little, he's really cute and seem nice but I barely know him." I said looking out the window. "I guess you have a lot to think over, I'll leave you alone for a bit, call if you need anything." Zoe hugged me and walked out of my room.

I put on music and a million thoughts were crossing my mind. I guess I might like him a little? I drifted off to sleep.

- Emerson's pov -

When I got home my brother's were already home since it took quite a while to walk all the way. I ran to my room and locked the door. I grabbed my headphones and put on music, then I grabbed my sketch book. I couldn't believe my brothers. They just embarrassed the shit out of me in front of the girl I've been crushing on for months. All though I don't meet her often, which is my fault, my brothers talk about her and Zoe a lot and I follow her on Instagram and she's incredibly cute. It always thought it was just a small crush that'd go away but its been around since I last met her and I still think about her a lot and whenever my brothers talk about her I try to listen without them knowing.

I heard a knock on my door. "Go away idiot I don't want to talk to you". "Emerson please, I just want to apologize." Sebastian said. I scoffed. "If you don't open the door I'll get the spare key and do it myself you're being childish." Sebastian said sounding angry now. I walked over to the door and opened it. "C'mon then" I said and Sebastian walked in and sat on my bed. "I'm sorry I embarrassed you, I really didn't know she could hear us." He paused "But you have to tell me if you like her, I won't be mad I just want to know because I care a lot about her." I was still angry at him but I also needed some brotherly advice from him. "Okay I might like her a little, it's just you and Rem always talk about her." I looked at him concerned. "And she's really pretty" I said under my breath. Sebastian stood up when he heard the last sentence. "Emerson, break her heart and I break you." Remington said walking in my room. "It's not like I have a chance now that you IDIOTS fucked everything up." I said angrily. "Well just between us, I wouldn't be so sure." Sebastian smirked.

"What the fuck are you talking about, didn't you see her face? She hates me." I said looking away. "Well Zoe texted me, she wanted to make sure you were okay after Melanie told her what happened." "AND?" I screamed in his face. "Zoe said Mel seems to like you too. BUT as Remington said, we will break you. You might be our little brother but she's like our little sister and I'll protect her at any cost." Sebastian said and sat down on the bed. Remington sat down and patted on the spot between him and Sebastian.

I sat down in the middle of them. "Uh- w-what. If you're messing with me I'm never speaking to either of you again." "No Em, we're not messing with you, you're still our little brother and if you promise to be the best boyfriend ever to her, we'll help you get that girl." Remington said and put his arm around me. "Uh yeah okay, I have no idea what to do now." I talked to my brothers, happy to get their advice and very happy they don't hate me. They helped me come up with a plan and Rem gave me her number. I decided i should text her later.

10:33 pm

Emerson: Hey it's Emerson, Rem gave me your number.. I figured we should talk.

Melanie: Hey! Uhm yes we should, tmrw at lunch? Same spot?

Emerson: Yes, I'll see u there :)

Well she might not absolutely hate me.
