one year later

Melanies pov

It's been a year since they decided to get the band back together and everything went wrong.

Sebastian and Zoe broke up almost immediately because she cheated on him with her now boyfriend, Awsten Knight one day when Sebastian was at band practice. Sebastian was crushed and refuses to talk to me or her. After they broke up me and Emerson started fighting more, we would fight and then make up but fight 2 days later.

One day he just didn't come back to make up and we haven't spoken since. He broke my heart, it was over 6 months ago but i can't get over it.

He dropped out and stopped talking to everyone here. Then they moved to LA to get better opportunities and people have told me they're doing good.

But i'm still here, heartbroken and alone.

"Melanie come down we need to talk" Zoe screamed from downstairs.

I got off my bed and went downstairs.

"What's up sis" I sighed.

"Well the last few months have been hard on both of us, so i've decided we're going to move to LA, and before you say anything i know what they live there but this has nothing to do with them, i want to live with Awsten and you need to get out of this shitty town." She spoke.

I didn't have words, i hated it here but the thought of moving from where i've grown up and lived my whole life was strange.

"I know we haven't talk about this but i didn't want to tell you in case it didn't work out but... it's time for change" She said and pulled me into a hug.

I hugged her back before i spoke. "Okay i guess.. it would be good for us to get out of here" I smiled softly.

"That's my girl! We're leaving in a week and eveything is set up for us in LA, we're going to move in with Awsten and his 2 roommates/band mates Geoff and Otto but don't worry you'll get your own room and eveything" She said with a smile.

I could tell she was super excited and i didn't want to be a bitch and ruin this for her so i decided to just play along in her happy fantasy, I know she's heartbroken over Sebastian but Awsten has been good to her even if the start of their relationship was strange.

We got our bags and headed to Awstens house, ive never met his friends but Zoe kept telling me i would love them.

"ZOEEE MELLAAANIEE" Awsten screamed as we walked in to the living room.

Zoe immediately ran over to him and kissed him.

I stood in the doorway awkwardly staring at my feet.

"You must be Melanie, I'm geoff" A guy spoke next to me. "Yeah hi!" I said with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you Awsten has told us so much about you" He smiled back.

"That's otto." Geoff pointed at guy with dark brown hair sitting on the couch. He smiled softly at me and then got back to the TV.

Awsten showed me to my room and i started to unpack when i got called downstairs by Geoff.

"Okay tonight we have a gig with a few other cool bands but it's your first day here so we should go get dinner then go to the gig and after we can get FUUUCKED UPPPP" Awsten laughed.

"Yeah why not" I smiled.

"Okay but no drinking Mel i don't want to deal with that" Zoe said. The guys just laughed and as i flipped her off.

"I should get ready then" I said and stood up.

I took a shower and did my hair, then i moved on to makeup and finally put on a black skirt, fishnets and a band tee.

"LETS GOO" Geoff screamed as we all piled into the car and drove off to olive garden.

We had dinner and got to know each other, it feels like i've known these guys forever. We got in the car after a 10 minute fight over who was going to pay.

As we got out of the car i saw someone familiar.

Remington Leith Kropp.

His hair was styled differently and he had more of a punk style than before but it was definitely him.

I nudged Zoe and nodded towards him and she recognized him immediately "No way" She whispered to me.

"Uhm Otto, is Palaye Royale playing?" I asked.
"Yeah, do you know them?" He asked. "AWSTEN why didn't you tell us" Zoe whisper screamed. "What?" Awsten asked.

"The Sebastian and Emerson we told you about?! Sound familiar to a band you might know?" I said.

"I didn't know their names! Shit i'm sorry you guys can leave i'll call an uber." He said scratching the back of his neck looking guilty.

"No it was bound to happen let's just ignore them Mel i wanna see the guys play" Zoe sighed.

We went inside and as i was standing alone by the side of the stage when someone called my name.

"Melanie?"

I could recognize that voice anywhere, it was Emerson.
