Start a collection! Whether it's snow globes or crystals or random metal stuff. It can be fun and interesting to do and if you choose a collection like random metal stuff you can do it while just walking down the street.
When I was little is had a metal collection and I actually had some pretty cool stuff. I collected keys, and random trinkets (I don't know what half of it was).
You can even collect buttons or rings
