"I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN, PETER," Bucky rolled his eyes, "I am wrapping your chest, and fixing your nose. I did it, so I am going to take care of it. End of the story," Peter groaned with an eye roll but said nothing after that.

"You are not leaving my sight again," Peter muttered quietly. He slid one of his fingers into Bucky's belt loop to pull him closer, and Bucky stepped closer at the gentle tug from his fiancé. He then pulled it back out before any of the Avengers that were approaching could see.

"I am not going anywhere," Bucky answered as he began to doctor Peter's nose.

"Is he always like this?"

"Remember us?" Tony asked slightly annoyed, "We need some explanation for what happened back there," Peter grimaced as his gaze fell to the floor. Bucky continued to work on Peter's nose and Peter was grateful for that because he wanted Bucky close when he tried to explain what happened.

"They got into the tower a lot earlier than I thought they would... They used my old partner..." Peter's voice died out before it could crack, "He knocked me out, and then all they had to do was say the damn words," Peter spoke in a monotone voice as he attempted not to show his anger.

"Did you know that would happen?" Natasha asked.

Steve did not miss a beat, "Of course he did, Nat. He knows everything about them," Steve sneered.

"Give him a break," Bucky said as he looked over at Steve.

"No, Steve is right," Peter mumbled which caused Bucky to give him a slightly confused look, "I knew it was a chance, but I thought they would need... the chair... and I was an idiot."

Bucky's lips pressed into a thin line, "Dumb move on your part, but that does not make you an idiot."

"How do you two know each other anyway?" Tony asked. Steve was silent, he seemed to be thinking. Bucky began wrapping Peter's torso.

Bucky and Peter made eye contact for a second before Bucky spoke up, "I met him in Hydra. He-" Peter cut him off.

"No, I am tired of lying," Peter sighed.

"Are you sure you do not want to wait like a day?" Bucky asked as he raised a concerned eyebrow at Peter. Peter nodded before taking a deep breath.

"It doesn't need stitches. It'll heal," Peter groaned.

"This is James," Peter said. No one seemed to connect the dots. Bucky finished wrapping Peter's torso.

"I told you, they have no brain cells!"

"He is my fiancé. He has been this whole time. That is why I came to the states in the first place before everything went to hell. I was supposed to smooth the waters before we got married," Peter admitted quietly as he picked at his fingernails. Bucky gently grabbed Peter's hand and intertwined their fingers to stop him from continuing the bad habit.

"It took you two long enough to tell us," Natasha said with a smile as she wrapped them into a hug, "I better be invited to this wedding, whenever it happens."

"Of course."

Peter smiled at her as happy tears sprang to his eyes. Bucky rubbed Peter's back gently and Peter regained his composure. Natasha stepped back, respecting their personal space. When she saw the confused and shocked faces on Steve and Tony's faces, she herself gained a confused expression, "Are you telling me neither of you saw that coming? Really?" Natasha's head tilted to the side ever so slightly, "I mean I suspected it before, but him showing up at the tower confirmed it."

"Apologies, Nat, not all of us are super spies," Tony rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms, "Are you happy, Peter?" Peter nodded.

"Does he even know who you are, Bucky?" Steve said lowly and darkly.

"Here we go again... since I cannot physically do it, verbal eye roll."

"I know everything about him and he knows everything about me. How the hell else would I be able to marry someone?" Peter asked in pure disbelief.

"How long?" Tony asked.

"Been engaged for a little over 14 months and we've been dating for closer to three years," Bucky said.

"Look, I really don't care what you think of my relationship. I am twenty-three and I am getting married, and we are taking down at least part of Hydra with whatever means necessary before we go back home," Peter mumbled the last part.

"ooooh, Peter learned how to stand up for himself!"

"You're not killing anyone else," Steve said darkly.

"Look, I wish there was another way, but those people... They are too powerful. Do you know just how much Hydra personnel was able to get out of prison? Or did you just assume that Zola was one of the few? It happened once and it will happen again," Peter tried to explain, "The old bastard is my biological father, and the old hag with him is my biological mother. They had me turned into something I never wanted to be. The young bitch was my handler and the young guy was once my partner. I got him out. He was free, but because Hydra is still around. He ended up still in their grasp. I am sorry if wanting them dead hurts your feelings, but I do not want them to hurt anyone else."

Bucky wrapped an arm around Peter and Peter leaned into his touch, "Peter is right. Richard Parker is a monster. The justice system will not stop him. He has too many resources and high-up associates. Even if we managed to get him to a cell, he would either run things from a prison cell, or he would break out."

"What happened to you?" Steve asked in disbelief.

"What didn't happen to me?" Bucky asked brokenly.

"Stop, you don't owe anyone any explanations," Peter said as he wrapped an arm around Bucky's waist and pulled him closer if that was possible.

"I think you do, I got you out of Hydra. I saved you. You owe me," Steve said angrily.

"And if you would hold that over someone's head, you do not deserve shit. You may have gotten him out, and heck me too, but that does not mean that we should have to relive the worst and darkest moments in our lives so that you can have an explanation for why we are the way we are," Peter said as he looked to Steve coldly, "He is one of the few left alive from Hydra. He knows what I went through without me having to explain why I woke up screaming. I love him obviously a lot more than myself. We wanted your approval, but if being without him taught me anything, it is that I do not need your or anyone's approval to marry him, or be with him."

"You can think that you're in love when you're really just in pain," Steve said.

"Love is pain," Peter answered, "Can we just skip the whole fighting thing for once, please?"

"I think we can do that," Natasha said with a bright smile before glaring at Steve before he could utter another word.

"Thank you, Natalia," Bucky nodded at her. She smiled before hugging Bucky.
