Chapter 2

(Kylo's POV)
I fell asleep after today's events thinking I wasn't going to get any sleep but wound up sleeping peacefully due to the thought of Luna. The next morning I woke up early as usual and change into my normal attire and head out to go train.

As I leave my room I run into Vega who was leaving at the same time. "Oh Kylo, fancy running into you here at this time." She says shocked a bit. "Same to you Vega. What are you doing up this early? Your shift doesn't start for another two hours?" I ask. "I'm doing Luna's and my job today. So I'm up early." She says with a shrug. "Is luna feeling alright?" I ask concerned.

"Sadly no. She didn't sleep at all last night due to the pain and she's sick. She's burning up and throwing up a lot." She says sighing. "I'm going to go check on her. Go and get a medical droid down here ASAP." I state going into the room Vega came out of. "Luna are you in here?" I ask looking around. "Who is it?" She asks obviously in pain and in tears. "It's Kylo. What's wrong?" I ask walking to the couch to see her pale as a ghost. "I'm not feeling so hot." Is all she says shivering.

I take my glove off and put my bare hand against her forehead. "Oh honey your very hot. Hang on." I say taking my other glove off and my helmet off and go towards the bathroom. I turn on the cold water and start a cold bath. Letting the tub fill up I come back into the living room and gently scoop Luna in my arms. "Kylo what are you doing?" She asks looking at me confused. "Shhhh." Is all I say as we arrive at the bathroom.

"What are you..... oh no..... no no no no. No way in hell you are doing this!" She says squirming but stops wincing in pain. I ignore her pleas and set her down gently on the toilet seat and start to take her shoes and tights off. "What on sweet endors moon are you doing!" She says scared. "I'm putting you in the tub. Relax. The cool water will help bring down your body temperature. It's through the roof." I say as I undo her shirt and skirt and slip them off and see just how skinny she really is even wrapped in the bandage. "Where's Vega?" She asks worried. I stop what I am doing sensing how frightened she is. "She went to go get a medic. I promise no harm is going to come to." I say as I start to take the wrapping off her torso.

She lets me and sighs. As I am undoing the wrapping I see all the bruises she has from Hux beating her. She senses me staring at the marks and start to shrivel up wincing. "Hey shhh it's okay. It's okay. I didn't know they were this bad." I say picking her up and setting her gently into the tub. "Oh shit that's cold." She says shivering. "I know but it will cool your body heat down." I say setting her in softly making sure to keep her injured arm out of the water.

"Just sit in here for a bit. I'll be back." I say standing and leaving quickly to get her something comfy to wear and start making some tea. I come back a few minutes later with her new pair of clothes in my hand and set them down then kneel down to check her temperature. "Luna? Supreme leader? I brought the medical droid." I hear Vega call. "In the bathroom commander Vega." I call.

A few moments later Vega come around the corner and into the bathroom and sees Luna in the tub. "Luna honey what are you doing in here? What are you doing in here?" She asks concerned. "She's got a fever like you said but she was burning up. So I decided to put her in a cool bath to help get her temperature down." I say simply. "It's okay Vega. I promise." Luna says weakly. "Mind if I take a look?" She asks. I stand and let her and leave with Vega shirting the door slightly. "Is that all you were doing with my sister?" She asks me in a whisper. "Vega I swear that's it. I helped her get her clothes off and set her in the tub. Nothing more I swear." I say. "Okay." She says crossing her arms still skeptical.

"Vega I told you my intentions are to protect and help you two and not harm you in any way." I say placing my hands on her shoulder gently. "I know. It's just I'm protective over my baby sister. She's the only family I got." She says sadly. "I know. The last thing I want to do is to become like General ginger as you two call him." I say a small smile tug at my lips. "How did you know we call him that?" She asks. "Please everyone who hates Hux calls him that." I say smiling slightly as the droid comes out. "So her fever has gone down a bit but it's still to high. The bruises are going to need some ice put on them and the throwing up is due to her being pregnant. All I can do is to prescribe bed rest for her." He says. "How long will she be out for?" Vega asks. "About two days." The droid says. "Okay thank you." She says showing him out. I head into the bathroom again and find a sad and weak Luna. "Luna honey you feeling any better?" I ask her. She just shakes her head no. "I'm sorry honey." I say gently stroking her face feeling her body temperature drop. "Let's get you out and dried off okay." I say draining the water and gently pick her up and wrap her small frail frame in a warm towel and dry her off.
