Day three.

The bells didn't wake me, It was the violent shaking. I open my eyes, to see Ali shaking me.

I kick out, hitting her knee, but not hard enough to damage her, but hard enough to hurt.

"Come on Swaziland, We need to get the Activity centre, NOW!" She says, tossing me my backpack.

I jump out of bed, grabbing a sweatshirt out of my bag, and pulling it on over my tank top. I'd slept in my jeans.

The bells weren't stopping, it was getting annoying.

"Girls, come on!" Ali yells.

I follow her out the door. People are running down the hill, towards the activity centre.

"Come on! Let jog down as a cabin! Stay together, girls! Hold hands!" Ali says, her voice tinged with panic. Someone tries to grab my hand, but I yank it away and begin to run down the hill.

I did track and cross country, so I can run long and fast. I half sprint down the hill, around the dining hall, and into the activity centre. It's already full of people. I push past them, looking for the ugly orange shirt.

"Hey! Lane! What the bloody hell is going on?" One of the cabin leaders yells.

Lane turns to face him, her face white and pinched.

"There might be an earthquake hitting soon, Might I say. We're trying to get the kids to safe places," She says, her voice forced into a calm tone.

So it was an earthquake that had everyone so scared.

I turn around, make my way outside, and run up to my cabin, they are still making their way around the dining hall.

"It's an Earthquake," I say simply.

Ali Furrows her eyebrows.

"How do they know about an earthquake?"

"I dunno, all Lane said was that there was an earthquake coming and they needed to get the kids to safety."

Ali laughs nervously

"This has to be some sick joke, come on girls." And Ali begins to march her way toward the activity centre. I shake my head and follow them.

People are yelling, one boy is crying. I make my way over to Lane, where she talks to a group of cabin leaders.

"multiple countries have been hit by a large earthquake, and we're next in line, so we need to get the kids somewhere safe, and quickly." Lane orders pointing at the group of cabin leaders.

"Too late, it's going to hit in twenty, nineteen, eighteen, seventeen, sixteen, fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve, eleven, ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, ZERO." Everyone is moving around me as I count softly. The world has gone surprisingly quiet.

The world begins to shake violently, people fall onto one another, shelf's come off the wall, walls crack. I watch as a part of the roof breaks off and crushes screaming kids. I see where the next piece is going to hit. Jac is standing right under it. Something in me twists, and before I can register what I'm doing, I'm running at Jac, pushing him hard, making him stumble and fall. I have three seconds to see the shock on his face before the ceiling falls on my head and all goes black.
