Chapter 20

Punk's POV
"What?" She asked.

"Nothing, it's just that, you mean, I worried for nothing?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's it." She smiled.

"I mean, it's nice to know you two care about me so much, but I was ok, and I'm still ok." She said reassuringly.

I nodded. Then I heard footsteps, they were coming down AJ's stairs.

"Hey, AJ? Is someone there? Or?" I heard a voice say.

AJ spun around. "Yeah, it's just Punk." AJ said, glancing at me.

The person reached the bottom of the stairs and I looked, there stood AJ'S closest best friend, the one and only Paige.

Well, I think I should've known.

"Oh, Hi, Phil." She said, looking between me and AJ.

"So, it seems like I ruined a moment, so, I uh, I'll just go now." She said turning on her heels and going back to AJ's room.

AJ laughed, shaking her head slightly.

"Ah, classic Paige, always wanting her ship to be real, that's my girl." AJ said.

I looked at AJ.

Does Paige really ship me and AJ?

AJ laughed again.

"Of course she does, Punk, she ships anyone she thinks would make a cute couple or that has, as she says 'chemistry.'" AJ said.

Oh, I must've said that out loud.

"Yeah, well, makes sense." I said, AJ smiled at me.

"Yeah, sorry about that, that's why I wasn't gonna let you in at first, because it was gonna be a girl's day, you know? Since Paige and I haven't spent a lot of time together in a while, she's been complaining about it, you should've seen the way she was pouting, and I couldn't say no to her and her cuteness, and besides I promised her this for a few days, so yeah." AJ said.

Oh, that makes so much more sense, I mean, Paige did in fact say 'See you tomorrow' to AJ.

So, as I said before, I should've known.

"No, it's ok AJ, I'll let you guys have your girls day." I said, smiling at her.

She smiled shyly.

"Thanks Punk, anyways, how about we go out somewhere tomorrow, yeah?" AJ asked.

I smiled at her. "Sounds like a plan."
